This was a very close fight and an excellent bout. Whether it was because Holyfield is a more respected fighter than Bowe (hard-working, overachieving underdog versus underachieving hamburger eater), Fan Man overshadowing it, Bowe not arguing it.....people rarely debate the decision, while other close fights (and not as close fights) get mentioned more. I actually think the fight as a whole isn't talked about that much, and it was a really good one. Fought at a very high level, good action, some entertaining after-the-bell action (complete with Manny Steward tackles), both fighters were hurt at some point (Bowe in round 5, Holyfield at the end of the fight). I had it 115-114 Holyfield, I remember giving Holyfield rounds 10 and 11 based on late rallies in those rounds. I had the 7th even. Before Fan Man, Bowe was having a very good round, great success with the jab. After Fan Man, I thought Holyfield got the better of it.
