Mayweather won, but it was by no means an easy victory. The problem was that Mayweather was often content to play defense and forgot to counter. Mayweather did rarely initiate the action. However, Mayweather did seal the deal in the last 3 rounds after DH got tired.

When I initially watched the fight live, I had De La Hoya by a point. In hindsight, I think this was because I was so disappointed in Mayweather's performance. I thought PBF was pretty awful to be honest. His defence was brilliant as always, but he was lethargic and did the bare minimum he needed to do to scrape through. He was nothing like his usual dynamic self. When I watched the fight again some time later, I scored it for Mayweather by 1 or 2 points.

Last time I rewatched it, I had it 9-3 for Mayweather, 8 rounds to 4 at worst. This was about as much of a "Split Decision" as Diaz-Katsidis or Mijares-Navarro. No ****ing way.

I had it 115-113 Mayweather but a clear victory nonetheless. I know that's only 1 round away from being a draw but I couldn't find that round.

Clear UD for Floyd 116-112 I thought it was quite easy to score.

115-113 PBF. That "now you see me, now you don't" jab of DLH really hurt him.
