114-113 DeGale. coulda, shoulda been a lot wider if DeGale decided to not try and blow it.

Didn't really score it myself but I think DeGale won. I gave him the first 6 rounds, plus the knock downs, with DeGale being an iron chinned Brit, the fight was over.

My stream jumped from half a minute of the round left to the corner...didn't even know there were KD's until replays showed it after my post was submitted. I corrected that later on.

DeGale won round 2 with the KDs and rounds 3, 11, and 12.

Round 1 and 4-10 looked like Dirrell rounds. Simply because he was landing the jab consistently. Maybe 1 or 2 of those rounds (4 through 10) were DeGale rounds or 10-10, but Dirrell was just peppering him with that jab and setting up straight lefts.

All things considered, I thought DeGale deserved to win by winning those last 2 rounds convincingly. Had Dirrell won rounds 11 and 12, I think he could have won a split decision. Two judges had it 114-112 and the other one had it wide for DeGale. I'm guessing all the judges had the last 2 rounds for DeGale.

    Some Notes :

Dirrell was winning round 2 before the knockdowns. We always debate whether or not getting a knockdown guarantees a 10-8 (or in this case a 10-7 round), you could theoretically score that round closer due to Dirrell's early work.

Another thing to consider in that 2nd round, was that after the 2nd knockdown, DeGale landed some left hands after Dirrell was already downl Shades of Abraham Dirrell / Roy Jones Montell Griffin??

Dirrell stood up and motioned to the ref that he was hit when he was down, but it was never mentioned by the announcers lol.

Man I forgot how entertaining Andre Dirrell is. This reminded me somewhat of his fight with Froch in 2009. Dirrell has such a commanding jab, depsite the loss he controlled the "range" for the majority of the fight so to speak. (Remember that talking point about how Floyd controlled range vs Pacquiao)

DeGale landed some awesome punches though. Round 3 was a round that Dirrell was winning that round before DeGale *stole* the round at the end with two huge punches that swung the round. That's an example of a round where big punches can win you a round over someone landing the jab consistently.

All in all, an awesome title fight and contrats to DeGale for a huge win.

Correctly. (114-112 DeGale, or a draw w/o the KDs)

His legs were gone and he went to his knees while taking punches. That's a KD.
