Fury won, but I think Wilder did better than people give him credit for. Wouldn't've gotten two knockdowns otherwise.
Fury won all no knockdown rounds. Have watched every round in detail and analyzed every power shot. Wilder missed almost everything.
I'm pretty sure that even if Fury KO'd Wilder these same people who voted for Wilder would still be posting threads about how Wilder supposedly won. It's actually a little scary.
8 to 4 or 9 to 3 Fury. Count was good, fight was good, nobody was robbed. I can understand how some saw it as a draw but I have a hard time seeing how Wilder won that fight. I am excited to see the rematch. Even though Fury is by far the better boxer I think Wilder will win the rematch via KO. It's funny but for me both fighters stock rose after that fight.
Had it 115-111 Fury during the fight... I was as surprised as Wilder was by the result. I don't think Fury has many levels beyond that, however, and would suspect Wilder learned enough to get the KO next time around.
rd 1 and round 6 or 7 can't remember specifically. I don't score the fights while I watch, I find it takes away from the "fun" of viewing. I score when I watch the replay. On the night I do remember thinking I gave Wilder 2 rounds out of the first 8. Of the criteria used to score fights I place a strong emphasis on clean effective punching. In other words I don't split the criteria evenly.
Scored it to Fury like nearly everybody else. 116-113, i shared the 1st, gave Deontay the 2nd aswell as the 2 10-8 rounds. Fury won everything else.
9-3 to Fury, but Wilder hung in there nearly got away with smash and grab win. Can't wait for the rematch. Fury will be better next time and wilder has unreal punching power so will be a proper spectacle.
Fury is obviously the smarter of the two and will make even better adjustments in the rematch. I think Tyson stops him before the 8th.
