I think I had it 8-7 Hagler , he won by a close margin but I felt he was the winner

I thought Duran won. Landed more throughout. Immediately after the fight on the initial broadcast, you can hear Leonard say he thought Duran won. Watch the fight in silence and see it ROUND BY ROUND. score each round and who controls the majority of them. Just dancing around doesn't win rds. Hagler looks terrified at the beginiinng when Duran trys a body shot. I had Duran winninmg then I'm in my 50s and do watching now also.

I scored it as an all time great effort. A fantastic plus on the side of a fighter that was past prime and far beyond his best weight. Fighting an ATG middleweight.

    Duran won.......

Not the fight mind you, but it was very close, and that makes it a win in my book.

my thoughts are that Hagler laid back as he knew Duran could not adequately test him, and actually HELD back on offense, allowing Duran to pick his ***** abd penetrate hagler's pourous defense. This was not the real hagler and I scored it two points for Hagler

Only once did I see hagler rock Duran, in the sixth with a quick left to the temple. I wasnt impressed with hagler, no killer instinct as in his other fights
