I don't have time to re-watch it now but I think Holyfield should have been first, strongly warned for holding and then be taken points away during the fight for doing just that + intentionally headbutting. That's often overlooked when scoring that fight... Besides this prior comment, from what I recall, Holyfield won practically every round except the 1st.
If you gave Tyson more than 1 or 2 rounds you should have your ****ing eyes revoked. I can't for the life of me understand why the judges and the blithering idiot commentators had the fight close. The Tyson aura back in those days was so remarkable it literally made grown men lose their eyesight.
Good point. And the only rounds you could logically give to Tyson were the 5th, and maybe the 1st. Other than that it was all Holyfield.
:good I think I gave Tyson 2 rounds. 3 wouldn't have been entirely unreasonable, but any more than that would IMO. Clinic by Holy.
Yup. I am always surprised by the commentating. Only very late did the commentator give Holy due credit. Who was he? Bobby czyz? The guy who said he could not believe what he was seeing.
Yeah, it was Bobby. A Tyson nuthugger of the highest order. I think that other old fat commentator, what's his face, also thought the fight was close. atsch:-( Also a bigass Tyson nuthugger.
Holyfield was ahead by 2 or 3 rounds if memory serves, plus and extra point for a knock down. Mike dropped his load in the fifth and then got battered!
