A very interesing, and strange fight.

At the end I came up with a 114/114 draw.

The fight for me was very hard to score, as a lot of the rounds could have gone either way.

    Bowe-Holyfield 2

    Bowe: 1, 3, 4, 9, 12
    Holyfield: 2, 5, 6, 8, 10, 11
    Even: 7

    115-114 Holyfield

It was those late round rallies in rounds 10 and 11 by Evander that won his fight on my scorecards, and probably on the official cards too.

I scored the infamous 7th round even as Bowe was having a very good round before Fan Man came down, but Holyfield got the better of the round after the delay.

115-113 Holyfield and I probably would have had a draw if Fan Man hadn't crashed into the ring (or tried to for that matter) since I had Bowe ahead that round before his security guy hit Fan Man with the walkie talkie

    Very tough fight to score.

    The last time I scored it, I think I had a draw with Bowe winning rounds 1, 3, 4, 7, 9, and 12.

  6. Evander pulled it off with his determination at the end. Even in the post fight inteview he was clearly taxed from it all. Where Bowe was surprisingly cool considering the events of the night.

Holyfield 116/112; but without the fanman, I do not think the scores would of been needed, Evander was doing so well.

    Agreed.

And like the announcers said, Holyfield was moving Bowe with his punches. In that fist bout, he didn't move him at all. That 2nd bout he sure did and it makes those 2/3/4 follow up shots Evander threw highly effective.

Plus another factor/theory came into play, at least in my thinking. Whenever there's a new manager/promoter trying to enter the big time and has an abrasive personality, watch out. That's the corner that is not going to get any breaks & they end up not being the powerful house fighter types for long. Their fighter loses and those opportunities dry up for those types of managers.

I don't have my full card handy, but I will say that I scored round 7 for Holyfield.

There's one point where Bowe throws off an eleven-punch volley. All very impressive, but all but two of them either hit Holy's defence or miss completely.

I thought Holy did the cleaner, crisper work in that round.

I'll dig up my full card when I'm home.

    1. Bowe
    2. Bowe
    3. Bowe
    4. Holyfield
    5. Holyfield
    6. Holyfield
    7. Holyfield
    8. Holyfield
    9. Bowe
    10. Holyfield
    11. Holyfield
    12. Bowe

    115-113 Holyfield.

I should watch this again sometime. This was from my last viewing a good four years or so back.

I thought it was Holyfield won it close when I first saw it live.

I scored it on my second viewing and had it 116-112 Holyfield.
