I don't remember the exact scorecard, but it was one of those fights where Mundine was really competitive and may have eeked a few rounds, but the rounds were either a clear for Kessler or a close Mundine round. Thats how I seem to remember it. I wasn't even that suprised to see one judge give all 12 to Kessler. Wouldn't mind watching it again now.
i cant remember exactly, but i think i had it 116-113 or something like that it was more competitive than most like to think it was
I didn't have it like that, I saw the fight when it happened only, ages ago. I want to see it again but as far as I could tell Mundine was really competitive but not getting many rounds. Regardless of my dodgy memory, I am 100% certain there is no way Mundine won this, so it can be nothing but a clear win for Kessler.
I remember it was one of those paradoxical fights that was fairly decisive on the scorcards but close in actuality. Kessler won most of the rounds by a small but clear margin. There were few points of real domination by either. Mundine looked pretty good when he exchanged but fought too scared and didn't really give him self a chance. Perhaps that was the right thing to do tho as he would have likely got KO'd if he did. Also, Kesslers camp said there was an injury issue with him in that fight (back). I believe it as Kessler seemed to fight within himself and the Kessler camp typically arent whingers.
Mundine had such good potential around this time. After this he went on to outclass Green, but he's shat it all away since.
Clear victory for Kessler. Mundine was competitive in the fight, but on a round by round basis, he lost by a wide margin. Why do you have options for a Mundine victory?
