did'nt bother Martinez was ROBBED that night. Just goes to show how the system works when trying to push the fighter who is supposed to the star.
i bet they would have tried to give Cintron the W if it was even remotely close. did Cintron even land any power shots at all?
117-110 Martinez, like it matters though. This was a german style robbery, makes the US look bad. This guy came over to gain fame here in America, just like so many claim foriegn boxers need to do, and they just rob him. That 119-110 in the first Williams fight shows they were still trying to screw him than as well.
No. Cintron's knee was on the way down as Sergio landed the other 2 punches, but Cintron's knee hadn't touched the canvas yet. It's hard to see the angle of the fight vid because there seems to be a ring rope in the way. All you see is Cintron bringing the knee down and then bringing it slightly up, but it doesn't go all the way down until AFTER Sergio lands the other 2 punches after the left hand bomb. If anything Sergio got robbed. But it doesn't matter because Sergio's the MW champ and Kermit didn't deserve to win that fight that's for damn sure.
Yes, it's clearly shown in the replay from a different angle. Then after what should of been a stoppage, Cintron resorted to clinching, which was smart on his part in order to survive. Cintron still impressed me with his boxing skills, he looked much improved than in the past, but it still wasn't enough to beat Sergio.
