I dont remember my exact scorecard, might have had Floyd by 2 points or so, but JLC is the only guy you can really argue beat or came that close to beating Floyd in his career.
From memory, first 5 rounds to floyd. Rest to castillo with 8 being 9-9 and 10 bring 10-8 which means 114-112 castillo.
I had it for Floyd 115-113. But it was unexpectedly a good and competitive fight. De La Hoya won 5 rounds too but from what i remember about the first Castillo fight was that it really could have gone either way which is why theres always going to be a true debate about who really won.
115–113 Castillo. It's a long time since I scored it, though, and it might well bear another look. Very close fight, in any case.
I used to think it was a clear Castillo win. On rewatch I edged it to Castillo but could easily see a draw. I don't think a draw is a hard argument to make at all. If they would have given it to Floyd 114-112 I don't think there would be much controversy outside of his usual detractors.
From my memory Mayweather won first 4 rounds, then Castillo won the majority of the rounds after that. With the 11th round being the most debatable round in the fight. Very close fight either way but I felt like Castillo edged it.
116–112, Mayweather. Chino fought out of his skin, but I never got the controversy over that first bout (Clements was a shade wide, but Pernick's 114–114 was worse). Seemed to me that Showtime's pundits fuelled it so the network could sell a rematch.
I had it 115-113 Mayweather but I could see 114-114, I can't see a case for a Maidana victory though.
I had it one round to Floyd some of Castillo work was ruined by his own smothering punches looked like they were land but on 2nd viewing alot where on the arm or just missing
