Literally not one person said that.

The most people said was that Parker was the most deserving (or co-#1 most deserving along with Kabayel) of a shot at him, which they were not wrong about.

Even his biggest fans knew Parker would most likely not beat Usyk, but he still earned the opportunity, was his mandatory for a while, and probably would've bagged 2-3 rounds off him. (something that I'm not sure Wardley can do; styles make fights)

Come on, search the forum, there are threads about this subject. They were claiming Usyk is ducking Parker.

Absolutely there were implications Usyk was avoiding Parker for an easier fight/matchup. Not necessary that Usyk was scared but that he would prefer an easier opponent.

The hype around Parker was ridiculous, he went from being basically exposed against Joyce to being the great fighter who just couldn't get his shot.

Regardless of the stoppage here, if he was as good as advertised, this fight shouldn't have been close even if he got clipped by a puncher and lost. So clearly this Huni guy is way better than the great Parker.

What did Higgins say the other day, that Usyk needs Parker to have the perfect resume, that he was some missing piece. That's what people were pretending around here too. And how ridiculous it all turned out to be.

Parker is a solid fighter around Chisora level and always has been. In fact he might be worse than Chisora since old Chisora gave him a very hard fight. But basically he's that level at best. He'd also have around thirteen losses if he'd fought the same people and be considered a gatekeeper.

There is levels to this game....and Parker has always operated at a level below the main men of the division. Every time he has stepped up he has lost. His recent revival flattered to deceive with many foaming at the mouth at this 'new' Parker who was a wrecking ball

There was a lot of fuss made because Usyk was seemingly reluctant to mention Parker immediately after Dubois II. "WBO orders Usyk vs Parker" thread had a lot of it, with ideas expressed like Usyk wasn't sure he could beat Parker and needed time to analyze and prepare.

Agree with this, exactly how I scored it.

Parker was winning the fight comfortably, but Wardley always looked dangerous. Fairly standard Wardley fight, always good to watch.

Think Usyk would make him look silly though.

Those people are idiots. Usyk has taken all of the top contenders.

Assuming the 11th round would be counted 10-8 wardley its knife edge close . Should wardley have won also the 12th it might be a split decision for him if it went to the cards .

Parker was badly hurt as early as in the second round but recovered . Then he was also in the 10th very close to go down .

But there were also rounds ( mainly midfight rounds ) where parker clearly dominated .

Agreed with 4/8/10 being the close rounds.
