So? Had the bout gone the distance Mosley would have won a majority decision 117-111, 114-114 & 115-113. I don't rember my score. I think I had it close with Mosley ahead. Looking at the Compubox numbers. Mosley 114/397 Total Punches @ 36% 45/183 Jabs @ 25% and 99/214 Power Punches @46%. Mayorga 73/588 Total Punches @ 12% 5/159 Jabs @ 3% and 68/429 @ 16%. Looking at these numbers alone. It seems that the only conclusion is that Mosley should have been well a head at the time of the stopage, yet he was not well a head at the time.
I had the fight extremely close. Mosley was very ineffective and was getting hustled in the mid to late rounds. He seemed confused with Mayorga's awkwardness. Mayorga should have went the distance but poor reffing allowed Mosley to pull a Dempsey-Willard on Mayorga. Great performance by an out of shape shot Mayorga.
