I had that fight a draw but it couldve went either way. Though Taylor didn't come on strong in the championship rounds - he was competetive. I think if Winky wouldve won the 11th and 12th decisively he wouldve been the new champ.
i had the fight close with Taylor winning. I thought Taylor put together the better punches and combinations in the middle of the ring but Wright dominated on the ropes
From what I saw, Winky coasted in the last two, even though Taylor seemed ready to be had. The real surprise wasn't that it was a draw, the surprise was that Winky was surprised he didn't win.
I thought winky was far enough ahead that all he needed to do the 11th and 12th was stay alive, and throw a couple punches. I was pretty surprised they called it a draw, I think everyone was just a tab pissed at how anti-climatic it was.
I thought it was a close fight, and was perfectly fine with a draw. The only thing that bothered me was when BTalk named that fight robbery of the year.
That's how I felt about the last round as well. Wright had changed his style in that round, but the commentators on HBO made it out to be as if he was losing while Taylor didn't take too much advantage. I voted it "perfectly reasonable draw" because it was a reasonable draw, but I had Wright winning that fight 115-113.
115-113 for Taylor, but the fight really could have gone either way because there were so many close rounds. In a way im glad the fight was a draw because if either guy got the decision there would have been alot of controversy behind it.
