Same here, I'm interested in Zakmans card :rofl "Okay, the first one MAY have been a draw, but the second one was high way robbery" ( c ) Ol' Zakman.
haven't done in a long time and don't remember, however i also scored both for Lewis, the second one being closer. Things may have been different, however had Holyfield been at his peak
Lewis was much more confident in the rematch. The first fight both of them gave each other too much respect, and the fight was edgy and close. IMO, the fight was just spun by certain parts of the media as a robbery, and the masses tend to jump on bandwagons and get carried away. Lewis deserved to win, but only just... The rematch Lewis was more confident, he pretty much knew he could not drop a decision; and because of that was more relaxed. Holyfield in a way fought a anti Eubank fight; he did just enough to lose all the important rounds.
The masses are often the opposite of the clueless. The rematch was closer, even Stevie Wonder said so.
Yeah, the rematch was closer. The one thing makes me scratch my baldy head. "Holyfield was robbed". Now, Lewis won the first 4 rounds of the rematch, beyond dispute. Holyfield could hardly get off with any attacks, never mind land any telling punches. Lewis was busier, and was controlling the fight behind his jab. His physical advantages were evident, as he kept the fight at long range and never let Holyfield inside. Lewis won the first 4 rounds, Stevie Wonder said so as well. He was front row, $1000 ticket. So Lewis only needs to win two of the last 8 rounds to pull out a draw. And he did just that at least. A draw wasn't my score card, but I've used all the previous as an example to show Holyfield wasn't robbed.
If anyone doubts the above, watch the fight again. The first time Holyfield had any kind of success where a case can be made for him winning a round was the 5th.
