As great a musician as Stevie Wonder was, I would not trust his scorecard in a fight, you see? Now that Ray Charles, he could score a fight! The masses are stupid and very often cowardly, always looking for the supposed easy option. You are only going to live once, so it best to be your own man IMO.
I'll definitely give that to ya, you are indeed one of a kind You didn't watch the fight back to front? :smoke
I scored the first bout 118-111 (ie. 9-2-1 for Lewis). I scored the second bout 116-112 (ie. 8-4 for Lewis). Lewis would have won the second fight by a bigger margin, had he not taken an unnecessary number of risks to ameliorate the "American" factor that had protected Holyfield in the first fight. However, Lewis had Holyfield's number stylistically, and so would have probably won the second fight by an embarassing margin with a better strategy (ie. 120-108 or worse).
I still dont see why people think the Real Deal won the rematch?? I relly have a hard time score it for Holyfiled. He just coulnt get by that jab.
No, just watch them with no sound as a neutrally as I could, because not least I liked both fighters. Because people fell for the spin of aspects of the media, a myth is built up around the fight. Like for instance Jesus was born on December 25th or the French invented Champagne.
9-3 Lewis fight fight 8-4 Lewis second fight. We wont see Zakman with his scorecards in this thread ever .
I'm not an expert, but I would think that the French DID invent Champagne, in that Champagne refers to sparkling white wine that comes from that specific region in France. I couldn't say whether they invented sparkling white wine, of course.
116-112 Lewis 115-113 Holyfield Lewis won the first fight for sure, but the second fight had alot of close rounds that could go to either fighter, a draw for the second fight would of been fair as well.
The British invented Champagne, taking the flat green wine from the region and being the first to make it sparkle, and perhaps more importantly, the first to have strong enough glass bottles. Also for anyone intrested, each 'bubble' actually is a bit of dirt in the Wine.
But when you watched them as 'neutral as you could' the spin and myth you talk of didn't exist. Most of us watched it with the same outlook only our scoring criterion was different to yours. Which seems to be something along the line of: This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected
Here's a question: Why would the media UNANIMOUSLY spin it that it was a robbery? I have my answer.....
The answer is TBooze was a big Sesame Street fan as a kid: This content is protected "One of these kids is doing his own thing".
