Other than punches which rock a fighter, how to measure the intensity and power of punches landed? One judge may call it a power shot, and the other may call it an ordinary punch.

While you may not be able to measure the precise intensity, if you've watched enough boxing, you certainly are able to tell with just your sight the range of intensity, whether its low, medium, or high.
Canelo was by far throwing his punches at the medium to high intensity all night vs Plant, while plant leaned more with low to medium intensity punches.
You need to watch more boxing and learn to judge whats effective and whats not.

There were various instances where Canelo would land a hard hook to the body and you could see by Plants actions right after that he did'nt want to get hit with another shot the same way. Plant would drop his right glove to cover up the right side of his body so he would'nt take a 2nd hook there. That my friend is what you call an effective punch by Canelo.

Whether you like it or not, a proffesional boxing match is not judged by who threw or landed more punches, you can certainly take that into account, but a bigger emphasis is placed on the effectiveness of the punches being landed.

pro boxing is scored differently than amateur boxing sir, a right-hand counts more than a jab, a big body shot counts more than a jab? common sense would tell you, you would rather get hit in the face with a jab, rather than a left hook. right?
