How different will Mayweather's career have been if he lost against Castillo?

As soon as Roy lost or real, he no longer cared at all who he fought... I think it changes their mental state for sure.

I haven't seen the fight in ages... I remember thinking Floyd won, very close though.

Had Castillo edging the first fight...not sure how it would affect Floyd's career now though had he officially lost. He wouldn't be touting his 0, that's for sure. But with the rematch and after so many wins since, it would be almost as if he never lost in the first place.

 

Without an 0 to protect, he would have taken more risks and not really cared who he fought going forward. He would have strived to prove his greatness with an awesome resume rather than crow about the 0 all day.

We probably would have seen him fight Tszyu and Vivian Harris at 140 to go with Gatti.

We probably would have seen him fight at least one of Margarito, Cotto, and Paul Williams during the stretch where he was "retired." Maybe two of them, who knows.

We might have seen a fight with Martinez at 154 or a catchweight.

We absolutely would have seen a Pacquiao fight in 2010.

Would he go through all of those guys without a loss? Perhaps not. But his legacy would be much greater than it is today.
