why does it matter what they think. You obviously want to here negative things about them... because yanks are the most ignorant nationality on earth.. they never give the british fighters credit.

Collins really wasn't british, like lennox wasn't American.

????? I'm English born and American raised since I was 8. I loved that era of British middleweights. Benn was a personal favorite. I joined this forum a week ago and I'm genuinely interested.

As did I. Loved Eubank, a true warrior. I would have definitely given Hagler a significant edge (maybe 70-30) going in but it would have been a war.

Really I'm American but I've been defending Froch on this forum because of Wards shadiness. You really shouldn't generalize a whole people.

For some reason I remembered the Benn/Eubank fights taking place in 87 and 89 when in fact they were 90 and 93. I stand corrected.

their battles were like a UK fab four version of srl/duran/hagler/hearns.

definitely wouldve been a war. i really hoped eubank went to US to pursue those big fights.

It's a shame neither the Americans nor the Brits at the time were willing to travel to face foreign fighters. That's what years of disappointing decisions on foreign soil will breed. Even as a Brit myself I tend to feel the onus lies on the British fighter (fairly or unfairly) to travel to the States to make the mega fights unless the British champion is unquestionably the class of the division. Our fans are so passionate and travel so well they'll always have support away from home.

Roy Jones, James Toney and Bernard Hopkins were terrified of them, so I think those 3 guys rate them highly. :yep
