How do Americans rate the British middleweights of the 80s?

    Ya he was like a 140 lb Rid**** Bowe with those weight fluctuations. Very sad but a joy to watch at his best.

    They would all be great fights ..I personally think against Benn Toney had a little more in the ****nal that's what gives him the edge against Chris it be a true chess match ..Thats why it's hard to pick a winner in that one becuase it would also depended on which James Toney showed up .

    James Toney can hardly ****ing speak literally and last time I heard Benn and Eubanks are quite eloquent. Shame you said that because I think us Brits liked James Toney.

    they were pretty good at least, with a lot resting on the baseline that was eubank as an indicator of how good they were.


    as for toney might well handle any of them in one off fights but I don't think he had the discipline of any of them, and if he faced them all he's lose to at least 2.

    On his best day Benn was the best imo and could have beaten a toney or jones but only on his best day and their bad day and only by stoppage.
