Like to turn my hips 1st I have to have some kind of mental cue like putting out a cigarette with my foot. I cant just rotate my hips 1st on demand like I do with say rotating the torso. How do I just move my hips 1st without some mental cue? How do I learn how to do this? Any drills etc?
I do the experimenting, I do the tuition/practice, and I ask on here. Anything that will progress me, im not the chilling type.

the best way i do is let your hip throw the punch. theres a video on youtube on ellie secbachs channel about it just type in "how to throw a powerful Hook" and ever since i did this my punches are flowing more and much more snap in them
The only way to rotate ur hips is to rotate/pivot the balls of ur feet. So, forget about thinking about rotating the hips. Just think about the mental cigarette cue.
