maybe its just me,but I have no idea how anyone can hate on a fighter like ricky Hatton. he's almost always in exciteing fights. he has a big left hook to the body and is always comming forward. he's exciteing, talented and personaly a really down to earth guy who just works hard and wants to give his fans there money's worth...how the heck does anyone dislike this kid?

its like dislikeing Micky ward...how the heck can anyone do that?

I don't find Ricky's fights exciting. I find it painfully boring to watch his grappling and holding style.

He should fight Junior Witter and then I'll like him.

Hatton used to be exciting, but not in the last couple years.

The Tszyu fight had a great atmosphere and had its suspense. As for the action, it was decent, although very ugly with all the wrestling.

The Maussa, Collazo, Mayweather, and Castillo fights were all decent (the latter two being saved by the highlight reel stoppages), again, with too much wrestling.

    The Urango fight was terrible.

    100% agree, :good.

I like Hatton but he should get inside off the jab more often. He should also fight Witter.

It's really a mix of his fans hyping him up to godly proportions and his hitting and holding style. Plus I don't like that he's not fighting Witter and his excuse. He says Witter is talking **** about him in the media so he's not gonna fight him to give him a payday but isnt that what he did to Mayweather? He's a hypocrite.

This is the stupidest comparison imaginable.

Corrales-Castillo had non-stop action, in-fighting at its finest.

Hatton hits and holds, or holds and hits.

Corrales-Castillo didn't even have many clinches at all. It was two guys up close trying to get in position, using angles, subtly moving their body or heads, to set up their shots.

,i love 2 watch the inside stuff that hatton does aswel as the craftmenship of b-hop
and i quite enjoyed hatton v urango tbh
and all the americans callin him a wrestler watch his earlier fights
he becomes a wrestler at the elite level because the punches are fkin hurtin him and he can win on the inside unless far superior eg pbf

He does hold too much, but he usually makes for entertaining fights.

    Reasons why I hate Hatton:

    1. He built up his records off of cans and has beens
    2. How he's handled the Witter situation
    3. His boring hit and hold style
    4. He's as phony as DLH
    5. He's a backstabbing ingrate
    6. His stupid jokes

Well I judge a fighter by how he performs now not how he used to perform. Against low level opponents Peter scored devastating KO's but I still don't consider him a major KO puncher because he has yet to KO an elite opponent.

BTW hitman6616. I don't know if that was supposed to be a joke or if you are just completly clueless about boxing. There is absolutly no simlilarity whatsoever between throwing a punch and then grabbing your opponent so he can not punch you back and standing shouler to shoulder with your opponent with both of you having your hands free and going at it.

Rickys style is absoltly nothing like Castillo vs Corrales 1
