That's Steve Cunningham in my avatar. My admiration for Floyd does not comprimise my ability to properly crtique or praise other fighters. Just because I like Floyd doesn't mean I have to hate Ricky. However, Ricky is a boring, dirty fighter. The fact that he goes around bragging about he's purposely denying Witter a chance at his biggest payday is an even bigger disgrace. There's no good reason for me to be a fan of Ricky's. He's not a very skilled fighter, he's vastly overrated, his style bores me, he's extremely dirty, and now he's admitting to purposely jerking a fighter who more than deserves a fight with him.

Without Hatton pressing the fight with Fraud, it would have been a snoozer. He paid a high price but God bless him for making the fight.

I thought I already explained that post was meant to throw a jab at the thread starter? I don't hate Ricky, I said I did to get at the thread starter. It annoys me when people make threads about how everyone has to love their favorite fighter. Do you get it now?

You're a damn good poster Reg, I'll tell you that much. Smart and unbiased. Just not as much when it comes to Mayweather or His foes.

Rewatch round 8 to see why you're wrong. Ricky only knows how to fight with that come foward, grappling style. Had he tried to sit back and play the role of counter puncher, he gets the Gatti treatment.

My comment was regarding the HOLDING as a reason so many hate Hatton. Ali used to hold quite a bit.

I'm also greatful the net wasn't around when Sweet Pea was still fighting. He'd have been called a runner day in and day out.

I'm very fair when it comes to Mayweather and his foes. You act like I say Mayweather is a great fighter because I'm a fan of his. I'm a fan of Mayweather's because he's a great fighter. I wasn't even completely sold on him until after the Judah fight.

This is true. In his time pea was considered a runner by many also. I think that just like Pea eventually got his respect so will floyd

Most likley. I never cared too much for Jordan, Bird, or Lennox Lewis until they retired. Then I missed all the things they did that at first irritated me (like beating my fave teams, or boxers), but that made them great. I have no doubts Floyd will be the same.

he lunged forward too much - he addmitted that much afterward, he's usually more patient in punching his way in and then grappling. . . add to it the horrible job the ref did.

Yeah right, blame it on the refs. Go watch the Castillo fight again. You'll see him coming in face first, with no jab, hugging, and using leaping left hooks. Basically, the same fight plan he used against Floyd. Hatton is not a boxer, he's not a counterpuncer. His only chance was to constantly pressure Floyd and try to steal rounds. If he wasn't the aggressor he wouldn't have lasted 6 rounds.

    hes a little punk *****

his whole "i like me darts and me beer" act is old
his cheap WWF ring tactics are a joke.

And then when PBF fights hattons fight, stays on the inside, doesnt run at all, outmuscles hatton and KOs him then Hatton whines that PBF wasnt fair and he uses elbows:|
