I know last year the quarters, semis and finals were held over 3 days. But how do boxers get there? Do they have to qualify through regional championships?
Is it the same format for novice and open?
    Thanks.

Yes, regionals e.g. London, South East, then the Team GB boxers come in to it. Novices are at the start of the season. Novice class A (10 fights and under), class b (20 and under).

From what I know there are no intermediates like in Ireland.

Yes, Celtic Warrior has it right. The regionals have already started and then it's the quarters, semis and final over a three day period (April 24-26th) at the Liverpool Echo Arena. Women will be boxing alongside the men this year, and there will be quite a few Team GB boxers involved, so it should be a great weekend.
