Dont matter,do it anyway. You get some recovery-time by that. Etienne did it to Tyson, although that's a bad example. :yep

Time them coming in. You don't necessarily have to be faster than someone if you have good timing. It takes a while learn but it's effective against those guys who are faster than you.

Go to the body and take the air out of him.

Keep your eyes wide open and watch your opponents face. Use your peripherals to watch the body, the arms while looking at the face.

    That build better timing.

Just concentrate on hiting his body more than the head. Meanwhile keep your defense up while you attack it so you dont get countered.

Practice, practice, and talk to your coach about improving your weaknesses cause he can give you better personal advice than anyone else you will find on here since he knows how you look.

    and pressure him.

Thats what I would say too, but you have to work on cutting the ring off and ideally getting them into a corner rather than just following them around. I'm probably not the best to describe how that works, but as I understand it instead of following a guy straight on you move at an angle... i'm thinking you would want to see where he's trying to go and based on his movement and the tendencies you've noticed you move there diagonally to him to cut off that route.

Also if you can get in close try to lean on him and work the body so that he wears down a bit.

An alternative to trying to cut the ring off would be to make him come to you. Thats when timing comes more into play... especially since he'll have to make the first move and expose an opening when he does.

Go to the body hard and make him fight while going backwards. The guys your fighting sound like newbies, so they won't know how to deal with pressure. Keep attacking the body and a newbie won't want to fight anymore and his punches will slow down. Most new guys also only know how to fight going forward or holding there ground...I've never seen anyone fairly new be able to handle fighting while moving back.
