Agreed, the Briggs and Holyfield II fights were great as well. I never saw his last fight with Vitali or the Golata fights, but I'll take your word for it that they were good. I also never saw his early match with Gary Mason, but I've often heard that it was an all out war.
Against Mason it was a very good and underrated performance, he jabbed Gary to death. Mason was a big, unbeaten and very good fighter with very good power, big win for Lennox IMO...
I'm sure it was a very good win. Lewis only had some 14 fights and was facing a European champion undefeated 35-0. Someone told me that it was a good fight. Did Mason manage to land anything on Lewis?
Someone from the lounge told me that Mason, Bruno and Notice all came from the same Terry Lawless stable, and used to spar with one another.
Yeah, Mason made a fight of it, it wasn´t one-sided. But Lewis was smart enough to impede trading shots with Mason on the inside, he dictated the fight with his jab, after the fight Mason´s eye was very swollen and ****ed up...
The Golota fight was great to watch, even though it only lasted a couple of minutes. Lewis floored him twice with heavy artillery. The Klitschko match was a bombing affair from both, especially after the 2nd round. When looking at the all the fights listed by myself, and previously by JT. Lewis was much more of an entertaining fighter than people give him credit for.
