what are going to be the excuses for nuthuggers after canelo looks bad against molina? the fact of the matter is that he is

only 5'7" and is small for ten ounce gloves

has abnormally short legs that attributes to his slow plodding footwork

does not possess one-punch power in either hand

    and has low output.

the only positives i see for this undersized 154 is that he has good skin and good fight IQ in that he is well aware of his limitations amd does not try and do things in the ring that he is not capable of accomplishing

if he cant make 147, in four more fights this guy might not even be a contender

in six fights he is done

He's listed at 5'9 Floyds 5'8 and he was clearly taller than Floyd.

He is not a small 154. He rehydrated to 172 against Trout and 165 against Floyd. He needs to move to 160 and make a name for himself there.

I couldn't agree more Canelo fights that way all the time. I have no idea why people thought Canelo was going to pressure PBF for 12 rounds. My guess is these people have never actually seen Canelo fight or don't know **** about boxing. Canelo is a boxer/puncher he's not a pressure fighter.

you obviously just joined this site.

there have been many photos posted here of alvarez without his lifts and he is nowhere near the height of the 5'9.5" trout.

the 5'8" floyd was taller than him as well

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5WwUsZVu70

skip to 7:23 of the video and check the shoulder, mouth, nose, chin, ears, eyes and eyebrow levels of floyd compared to canelo and disregard the 2" gumby alvarez haircut.

thats a 5'8" guy standing next to a 5'7" guy

if you think canelo will have any success at 160 then you have not followed boxing for very long as he will get pushed around like little boy.

he wont even have success at 154

guys like us that know boxing and have folllowed for many years tried to tell you that canelo is nothing special but the nuthuggers just couldnt see past the red hair.

your supposed wrecking machine hero is 5'7"

the quicker you realize that the better off youll be.

    What do you mean by:

"He was certainly more competetive than most of Floyds opponents":think

Robert Guerrero and Carlos Baldomir did better than Canelito.

Canelo's best punch came in the 11th round when he slugged the camera:lol:

This is true but I disagree about his giving up or gassing. He was frustrated and ran out of game plans, but his energy was still good, and in the late rounds he actually started to do a decent Castillo imitation and had his best success, but it looked like he didn't like to fight that way.

He is just 23 and did better than most expected. I know many here strongly disagree, but I expect good things from him in the future. He's already a very accomplished fighter.

I think he fought pretty well considering (for some stupid reason) he just tried to box with Floyd all night. No one today can stand tow to tow and win a boxing match with him, and its not like Canelo got Gatti'd or anything

I honestly dont think anybody besides floyd or Ward can beat Canelo. Time will tell but I think he beats Lara, GGG and Maravilla.

I give him a 2. Basically he sucked and showed that he didn't belong in the same ring. Mosley, JMM, Cotto, Hatton and even Ortiz & Guerrero outperformed Canelo.

The PPV King Canelo did way better then I could have imagine. He was at a disadvantage not fighting on an even level of playing field where he was drained like a zombie and he almost beat Floyd getting a draw from one judge. If he was fighting on an even level of playing field at 154, the PPV King Canelo would have won easily.
