    The gameplan was horrible.

I think if you would have polled 100 boxing trainers and asked them how they think Canelo would fair if he implemented a center ring boxing plan vs Mayweather, everyone of those trainers would have said Canelo would be hard pressed to win a round.

Well, he won 5 on my card. He did alot better than I thought he would do implementing that type of plan.

Scale of 1 to 10 I'd rate Canelo's perfomance an overall 6, simply because he fought a losing gameplan.
The 6 is simply because he was actually competitive with such a dumb plan.

ginger ain't $h1t, keep up the hype and don't forget to bring the bag of excuses when he, and if, fight Lara, the only reason he fought fraud was because they were cashing out, there's nowhere to hide him any longer from the 154 division after his $hitty performance against Trout, a fight Sulaiman and GBP make sure the only way Trout could had won was by Ko, and he is a feather fisted, open score was for ginger benefit not the public.

Please C.J. Ross Jr. do us a favor and pick another career since it seems that blindness runs in the family.

Robert Guerrero was more competitive than Canelito...so was Carlos Baldomir.

Mayweather was right when he said Cotto was better than Alvarez:deal

Guerrero tried harder. Seemed more determined. Canelo is a phoney. A Shaffer hype job.

Canelos performance was a disappointment, high expectations and he didn't even push the fight at all. He did not show any hunger for the spot and any desperation. It was a let down to be quite honest. One thing I will say, Canelos' corner/team was even worst. This reminded me of Cottos team when he faced Manny. No matter what level of a fighter you are, your trainer should be the boss in the gym.

I'd say I'm actually one of the few forum members who can actually score a fight without the aid of a broadcast crew directing me what I should be looking for.

I gave Canelo 4 out of the last 5 rounds. He actually pressed the fight a little more than earlier and threw and landed shots with better leverage than the push jab Mayweather was using late in the fight.

Most of you dumbnut forum members carry over rounds.
You dont score the late rounds based on what Mayweather was doing earlier.
Every round is scored independently from others.

    No carryover rounds, comprende? :deal

The rounds I gave Canelo had little significance as he was way behind and needed a knockout by the time he got the courage to press the fight some.
Still late in the fight he needed to leave it all in the ring and he did'nt.
Thats what was so dissapointing about his performance to me.

    Wrong!

Guerrero's and Baldomir's punches carried nothing behind them, thus Mayweather did'nt respect what was coming at him.

Not the case with Canelo's punches coming at Mayweather.

    Guerrero/Baldomir punching = No mustard/ineffective.

    Canelo punches =mustard/effective.

Its really that simple. Niether Guerreo or Baldomir had the strenghth or power to make Mayweather even think that he could get hurt if nailed by either of those.

canelo was outlanded by pretty much twice as many punches in each of rounds seven to twelve...the last six rounds.

but let me guess, canelos punches were harder and he had more ring generalship?
