He can, but he has slow feet, I think Kovalev will land the big punches first. I've seen Beterbiev dropped twice now. They fought twice in the amatuers, Kova reckons he battered him and got robbed.

    Where's the neither option?

I expected him to beat Alvarez in the rematch tonight, but don't expect him to beat any of the other beltholders anymore.
Biggest chance is against Gvozdyk imo.

How does he fare against the Bivol's, the Gvodzyk's, the Beterbiev's of this world? @lepinthehood

Whenever Beterbiev's name is mentioned, Kovalev suddenly forgets that Beterbiev is champion or has to be prompted into acknowledging him. That says alot to me from a psychological point of view.

Furthermore, Usyk has mentioned that Beterbiev is one of the best he has ever faced in the amateurs.

Bivol and Beterbiev, both have shaky whiskers, Bivol not a big puncher, Artur is rudimentary, the Kovalev from tonight has a chance out box or possibly stop both of them.

I'd lean narrowly towards Bivol but Beterbiev is 50/50 IMO maybe even narrowly favouring Kova... Beterbievs career is being wasted...

    Gvozdyk isn't happening.

Alvarez seemed to be very hard to hit clean, compact and defensive, might have great chin too. Hard to look devastating against that kind of fighter, but Kov moved and threw combinations very smoothly I'd say. If people weren't worried about him gassing or getting ko'd they'd probably think that was a clinical performance. He's hard to get to when he keeps distance and unloads those raking straight shots. Bivol and Beterbiev surely have shorter arms and might struggle with Kov's rangy attack if he fights like this.

I have him even with Bivol and Beterbiev and at a 40/60 disadvantage to Gvozdyk.

    Gvozdyk vs Kovalev is 50/50

kovalev beats hittable beterbiev by schooling, and gets a close decision vs bivol. they havent done anything compared to krusher.

    Bivol outboxes him
Butterbeer gets beat, he is too stationary

Gvozdyk would be an interesting fight, but I would pick Gvozdyk based on youth

Bivol and Gvozdyk propably outbox Kov at this point.

Beterbiev has no chin or movement to beat Kov.

Very hard to say at this point. Kovalev can knockout all these guys but can be easily knocked out also as well. Style wise Kovalev has advantage over Beterbiev and experience wise in the pro ranks but Gvozdyk and Bivol might be way too fresh for him at this and point stamina wise too.

Its not like Bivol and Beterbiev fought anyone half decent both of them [ May be except Sullivan Barrera but hes chinny as hell ] . Gvozdyk fought Stevenson but he was way too faded and still buzzed Gvozdyk badly couple of times and was leading until he gassed.

Gvozdyk had only 1 fight with Teddy Atlas so kinda unknown quality for now and felt risky to change his coach for the title fight. Bivol seems kinda small for 175 but still very good boxer and decent power and chin but stamina is questionable. Beterbiev really wasting his career away and at this point its hard to say with such poor resume.

Overall 2-3 years ago i thought that Beterbiev is gonna be on the top but he had issues outside the ring and is very avoided even with title now on the line. Its sad because he has nasty power and destructive style but got caught silly vs Johnson and was hurt bad. Age isnt on his side as well at least Kovalev made some money and held couple of titles for years now.
