Jab 'n move, aka jab 'n run for dear life. You'd need the skill, stamina and durability to do that of course, but it's not like Beterbiev is unbeatable. Certainly not when the mover is fighting in his backyard. Even Gvozdyk was up on 2 scorecards at the time of the stoppage, so if he would have been more durable and survived the last couple of rounds, he could have gotten away with a controversial split decision.
Bivol is not strong enough. He might look flashy and quick for a few rounds, but eventually he will get overrun by Beterbiev. Hes too strong. Have you seen Beterbiev in the ring? Hes diesel. He has freakish strength. Hes like a LHW Shawn Porter except with skill.
I have seen him and he can be outboxed if you have the ability to stand up to his attack he can be beat. If Bivol was bigger and durable enough he would give Beterbiev a boxing lesson. If canelo was bigger he would as well
Canelo went life and death with a past prime GGG. Most people think he lost the first fight. No way can he handle Beterbiev. He would be thrown around the ring. Beterbiev is significantly stronger than GGG. Bivol cant win. Gvozdyk is bigger and stronger than him and still couldnt handle the pressure.
Beterbiev is past his prime he's no spring chicken. Canelo is more skilled than Beterbiev so is bivol theyre just too small to be able to beat him. If they were the same size both would outbox him to a ud win.
I like how you never talk about technique, tactics, styles or skills. But just ramble about some physical attributes and basically pull up boxrec the way Jim Lampley pulled up compubox.
Physical attributes do matter though. You're also downplaying Beterbiev's boxing ability. The man can box and has serious pedigree. He might not be as refined as many slicksters but he makes up for it with TNT in both hands and an excellent jab and body attack.
Right now nobody can generate power from such awkward angles in such a short amount of space. He can throw 4 inch hooks with major power. Right now he's the only fighter really doing that.
He may be getting older, but he has an old man style. He doesn't rely on reflexes, speed and explosiveness. His power comes from pure strength. Which is the last thing to go. Most athletes are stronger at 35 than they were at 25. A guy like Roy Jones style can't handle getting older nearly as well as a guy who fights like Beterbiev. He will lose some of his ability to maintain a high workrate and that could be a problem for him. Since he likes to wear down his opponents. I admit that.
