a fighter that his horribly overrated for whatever reason: weight-drained at time of the fight, shot, blew up, no skill, or can only fight against one style.

I recall a poster here on ESB with a avi of a pill container that said "Instabum" to be taken by a fighter after they fight mayweather (dont recall which poster). So I guess losing to a great fighter makes you a bum. I'll go with that. If you lose to a great fighter, you are a bum. smh

i think 'bum' and 'exposed' are fairly legitimate terms for boxers,
however they are mostly overused by posters with age below 12
(about half ESB posters may belong to this group).

Bum is someone with seriously limited skills comparing in
general to the class of opponents ... e.g. belt contenders.
Someone who looks pretty fair in previous fights cannot
become a 'bum' when he is beaten by a 'world class fighter'
it is rather a broader thing than comparison one by one to specific opponent.

Being exposed is mostly related to lack of somethings which was
never discovered before. This term is mostly overrated in refer to chin.
Someone is stopped the first time ... it usually happens for 99% of boxers
at some point of their career and the haters are saying that his chin was exposed
... it is stupid, it would mean that there is clear blueprint that everybody from now
can KO the guy in the same way which almost never happens. The even worse
saying is "his chin was exposed again' - it is simply illogical ...

I use this term only when citing other posters.

BUM IS A FIGHTER THAT MY FAVORITE FIGHTER NEVER FOUGHT.

Of course, if he fought him already, then he is an ATG.
