How do you earn a HW title shot?

When you lose to the other champion in a near shutout, beat a guy who lost 3 of his last 4 fights, and refuse a contract offer by the champion to face this same guy?

I think how it's done is to be overhyped, work with the media for attention, have a fanbase that really thinks you can win when you have no chance, and consistently lie.

Can't think of any other method.

The trick is to hang around long enough and beat enough absolute nobodies, that you record looks good at a glance.

Rahman/Briggs used the trick of actually being good a decade previously and just tipped along beating nobodies to get a chance.

Being from a country which can bring in good TV coverage is also highly useful.

Today you just have to fight bums and lack punching power. And look like a b class fighter and you will get a fight with Wlad.

    1) having a big mouth
    2) being #1 contender (but they don't ant to fight)
    3) not being a risk and have a nice padded record

Explain to me how Sosnowski, Charr, Mormeck & Wach "earned" their shots & then we'll talk about Haye.

Haye was actually one of the most deserving challengers in recent years.

Left the Cruiserweight division as unified champ, went up, beat the WBA title holder, and got the match with Wlad.

He was infinitely more deserving that Mormeck,Sosnowski,Charr,Briggs

Point was more how he is still seen by some as a worthy challenger to Vitali.

Did any of those 3 just lost by shutout and then beat someone coming off 3 losses?

Charr and Sosnowski just got their shot, Briggs had some name value.
Haye proved already once he stepsup to the higher tier he not only becomes incredibly boring (Haye vs Valuev makes Wlad vs Iggy seem like a burn burner) he also gets hopelessly outclassed.

No, they never even competed it at that level. None of those I mentioned shouldve been anywhere near a world title fight & all of them were hopelessly outclassed.

I dont understand how losing to the #1 HW means you cannot fight the #2, especially when Haye performed far better against Chisora than Vitali did.
