If you had to guess based on current and past trends, how do you expect the rules of boxing to change between now and 2071? And as a bonus: Do you think the rules will change to such a degree that the Golden Age fighters of Ali's era would no longer consider it the same sport?
Ten round title fights, more sanctioning bodies, reduced sparring, minimum of six months rest between fights, no more than five pounds difference between fighters and thus several more weight divisions, two minute rests between rounds, retroactive result changes, and the discovery of dozens of Harry Greb fight films.
I think the ill effects of major weight cuts and next day weigh ins in general will become more and more publicised and, hopefully, will revert back to same day weigh ins. Even larger gloves and even stricter enforcement against clinching / inside fighting also wouldn't surprise me. Most styles would eventually become medium range fighters and reach advantages would become more pronounced. Possibly a more in depth film review system for decisions, especially for controversies and robberies. Maybe even retroactive results becoming more common (I know they've done this type of stuff before but it's not really of any standard). I can't really see it unless there is a novel new technological component imo.
The rounds will be reduce and have less time in them. Safety rules such real time scans form the body or the head will lead to more retirements from the fighters / corners.
Refs being even more quick to stop fights, brain scans and drug testing becoming more of the norm as prices go down, possibly outright bans of the sport in more countries
