all i can say is if you see dirrell celebrating it up tonight he is probably faking. he wont know what hit him till the next morning. anyone who has suffered a concussion will know what im talk about.

    Both are easy to fake.

You have to be a complete idiot to believe that either spastic movements or convulsions cannot be faked.

That said, I don't think there is much evidence that Dirrell was faking.

And the only option available to the ref in this case was to DQ AA.

    Bad mistake on AA's part.

It may have cost him the bout.

Or maybe not; he was well behind anyway.

Agree, pretty simple to understand in a rational way....to not get up from an illegal punch while being way ahead....Easy DQ Win will always be the result, even idiot Larry Cole couldn't mess that one up....

Some are making this out to be more complicated...Stop and think...

No, you are stupid if you can't see that this thread directly addresses the idiocy of the many, MANY fools on here that think Dirrell was faking anything. Dirrell was winning this fight via what was practically a shut out. He had Arthur hurt, cut, swollen and knocked down twice, although only one was counted.

It was an appalling end to the fight and I pray Dirrell is okay. Abraham on the other hand went from being one of my favourites at the weight to being an absolute bum with zero respect or concern for a man he hospitalised and showed a distinct nasty streak when trying to lie his way out of the punch in the post fight interview. Dirrell was down and if faster punchers like RJJ or Mike Tyson can stop themselves hitting a floored opponant I am pretty sure AA with his slow relexes could have too - had he wanted to. Truth is he didn't probably thought Dirrell would have got up from it and the fight continued, advantage AA.

What a twat. I hope Froch KO's him through the ropes.

    Eh? Maybe watch RJJ-Griffin.

It actually happens a lot of of the time, most are ignored, some are dealt with a point deduction and few result in DQ's.

AA deserved the DQ. Letter of the law. It's Dirrell's "KO" that has put people's backs up. A lot of folk think he was only buzzed and could have seen out the round and a half and got his deserved points win. But knowing the rules and what happened the round before he didint.

    At least thats my take.

Yeesh! I left for work before I saw the conclusion and that's one sickening foul on Abraham's part. It's one thing to hit a guy while he's down, and it's another to belt him with a monster shot like that and knock him cold. DQ was absolutely the right way to go. AB knew Dirrell was down and put mean intentions behind that punch. :verysad

    Dont be a thick ****.

It has already been established that the OP just didn't express himself clearly and ended up saying something different from what he meant. Build a bridge, get over it - it happens to the best of us.

The rest of us have got on the same page now. Do we really have to wait for you to work it out in your own time?

    :patsch:roll:

Regardless of what happened, the logic in this thread is nonexistant. I'm lying in bed and I can shake my leg like Dirrell did. I think, if I was really pushed, I could act like I'd been knocked out too.

    Moron.

Trust me it wouldnt be hard for you to fake knocked out. There's not enough matter between your ears for you to be barely conscious as it is.

No you moron. He was crying because he thought he had lost by KO and his corner had to remind him that he had won. Really how slow are you.

1 second and Dirrell already formulated that he was going to convulse to sell the KO. Then while doing formulating more plans to sell it when he gets up. You really are stupid.

Dirrell was going around apologising to people that he was sorry he lost and that he got KO'd, he was clearly removed from his senses. Ive seen this before with Danny Green, ina fight he clearly won, but because of the heat, and his weight loss- he was completely out of it. in the post match interview he said he was sorry he let everyone down for coming to see him lose. It does happen- there is a precedent- for a guy getting so far out of it- they forget what has happened.

I just think, that AD was on his way to a far more glorious victory and moment than what he got. If he wasnt hurt- he could have gotten up easily, finiished- and had his moment of glory- the moment they live for. instead he lay down, had to be helped up, and wandered around mumbling about losing the fight!!?? does that seem like a choice someone would WANT to make?? he had the fight in hand, by far- AA would have been docked a point had it continued and needed a KO to win. which wasnt likely.

I think people are just so quick to hate and so slow to love. cant we all just get along?
