He's the greatest fighter i've ever seen as far as talent goes. Reflexes, speed, decent punching power, awesome and effective defense he's the total package.

As far as outside the ring. I've met Floyd before and he's nothing like he is on t.v. but he does express how he feels on certain situations. What i don't get is how you going to get mad at him because he flaunts his wealth. You have to really think about the situation he's in he's a young black rich kid from GrandRapids Michigan and he's the best fighter in the world not the country he's regarded as best in the world so really....whose gonna take it from him....??? Are you going to step up to the plate to beat his ass because your mad that he can flaunt his millions no!!! I hate to say it but he has every right to until proven otherwise because he's never been beat.

He talks down on his opponents just like if you had beef with somebody in the street and its about to go down. Their is no respect until you make someone respect you up until now.....no one.

And for dude who said GrandRapids is middle class lol.....you don't know ****!!!!

    Don't like him.

    Immature.

    STUPID.

    Conceited.

    Insecure.

Somewhat phoney. (All that gangsta ****, an him being upper middle class !)

    Overrates himself.

    Disrespectful of othe GREAT boxers.

    Seriously flawed human being.

NOT the greatest boxer ever by ANY standard.

One of the six most naturally talented boxers of the last six decades. (The others: SRR, Ali, SRL, Sweetpea and Roy)

The best p4p currently active boxer today.

i dont see why people mention insecure or phoney.... nothings in secure about this man.... i mean most people shouldnt have issues with their father but if you do you can relate to what mayweather goes threw.. ive had my issues with my pops and you want to make it work out but theres just something that stands in the way of it. weather its them two being too much a like or something floyd father has done in the past.... either way i dont see how anyone could care about that when judging if they like floyd mayweather or not

Based on talent and skill he is among the 20 best fighters of all-time and this era he stands alone. Based on accomplishment he is paving the way to become what he says he is.....the greatest of all time. Like Roy Jones before him an era ago, his egotistical attitude hurts his standing among fans and scribes, whereas what happens outside the ring shouldnt affect how fighters are ranked and judged. IMO Mayweather is the greatest junior-lightweight ever and whatever he accomplsihed above his natural weight just adds to his legacy. Honestly there are very few people who should be favored head to head over MAYWEATHER 140 and down. At 147, he is very good like Whitaker was but because of his lack of size and strength at the weight he will always be a notch below SRL AND SRR....They were natural welterweights...Mayweather never was but his skill allows him to compete with anyone.

the highlighted arguments are a little off but i do understand the others as they are legit but.....

Stupid - nah not a man who performs that well in the ring on a mental level and how he has put himself in positions to make boxings biggest money fight ever. Not a man who starts his own promotion, not a man of this type of success and works this hard and who gives to the community as well. He never has been locked up, affiliated with drugs of any sort, and oh by the way is a great father to his kids.

Disrespectful to other Greats...look he gives them all their just due...he respects all their boxing careers and talents he only merely stats he is better or could beat them....how is that wrong? If you want to be the best and truly believe it then you would have to have the confidence in yourself to say you could beat the best i find nothing wrong with that if you dont believe your the best how will you ever achieve it? I wouldn't walk around and say im the best but so and so are better than me...well then your not the best...i think its a confidence thing. No others may not go about it like him but thats others and this is Floyd...its just how confident he is..you dont believe in yourself who will?

Lastly the phoney cus the gangsta shyt...man please he has never glorified anything gangsta or said he was. People classify him that way because how he acts thats there ignorant opinions as a gangsta is actual a gang member who has achieved highest rank in a gang....or often a term used for any gang member something he never claims to be nor has ever said he was gangsta. The fact he is flashy, money driven, flamboyant, over zealous, arrogant doesn't suggest the gangsta label. Those who label him that way are ignorant to the word "gangster or gangsta".

    thats pretty much true.

But Floyd shouldnt be allowed to act this way . He has no right:roll:

For me I dont really take anyting he say too seriously .

If I did that , I'd would be pretty much acting like a girl .

actually everything he says and does reeks of insecurity. if you are the best fighter in the world you dont have to tell everyone you are, everyone would allready know. if you want to show poor people how much money you have while people with real money laugh at your antics, thats insecurity. if you need to discredit your peers in order to elevate your standing, thats insecurity. this kind of conduct is unacceptable but forgiven in a 19yo but this guy is 28yo so you can stop calling him a kid and start calling him a lousy example of a man.

I've seen him dismiss other greats during interviews and tell the interviewer to stick to the point, namely Floyd.

I've seen him 'pretend ' to be a badass gangsta and act street tough when he comes from a priveliged background.

While stupid may be a bit over the top, I feel from listening to him that t he's none too bright. (All that success stuff you mention is the result of him being the best boxer alive at this point. If he couldn't make money with that talent, he'd be really stupid.)

Overall, I don't care much for the dude. Maybe It's all an act. Maybe I'll change my mind at some point.

I do agree that for now he's #1.

what do you mean he dismissed other greats...and asking the interviewer to stick to the point is not that bad.

again would you say your street tough? Whats street tough....there is no such thing....you can be rich and still hold your own with anybody who is i guess from the streets....tough is tough my friend...i wouldn't bet you to be any less tough than anyone else from the streets am i right? Is it safe to say someone from a priviledged home is less tougher than someone from the streets? No not at all....you seem stuck on because he was priveledged that he cant have it rough i know otherwise man and im pretty sure there are those on here who can say the same.

again stupid is not a good term for any boxer who reach that type of status. in fact Mayweather talks with much sense when interviewed its only the interviews that he is arrogant and venomous that gets the bright light.

I think Floyd is a ***** that grew up broke and now he has money, he don't know how to act. That's not a bad thing, though. If you look at 90% of the rappers, singers, or actors out there, you'll see the same thing. I work full time and i'm always broke so if I came up on some $$$$, i'd sure as hell act a damn fool, **** what anybody thinks. Plus, everybody hates him, so he just turns that **** up a knotch to sell tickets and pay-per-views. I think he's a funny mu'****a by the way. This is a guy who showed up to fight a mexican fighter on Cinco De Mayo, wearing a backwards sombrero, how funny is that? I'd pay to see him fight because I appreciate greatness when I see it, but those antics make me an even bigger fan!!
