Your penchant for revisionist fantasy is amazing I'll give you that much.

    Fact.

Jones stated he would want $100 million to fight Lewis, and you being the idiot you are, believe he seriously wanted the fight.:lol::lol:

You and Mind Reader are the most delusional fanboys on the internet.

But keep it up, as most of us enjoy laughing at the pair of you.

Their famous HBO argument took place just prior to Roy's fight against Glen Kelly, and just after Bernard had fought Carl Daniels, on a HBO double header in Febuary of 2002. At that point, Roy hadn't fought at 160 for 9 years.

Bernard bypassed 168, and went on to fight Tarver 4 years later in 2006.

I think it would had to have been at a catchweight. But of course, they never got that far in negotiations, because Hopkins blew it.

At the beginning of their famous argument, Bernard incredibly wanted more money than Roy initially. Then later, he backed down and wanted 50/50.

But there was no way that Roy was going to come down in weight, to fight a guy who he'd already beaten, for 50/50.

It was never going to happen, and there's no way Bernard would have agreed 50/50 if he'd have beaten Roy in 93.

Bernard was all talk. He only took the fight in 2010 when he knew Roy was finished at elite level.

:good Hard to argue with that, much as I respect Bernard.

After the Vitali fight Lewis was told that Vitali needed at least 6 months for his eye to heal. So he started calling out Jones. It was Jones who moved back down to lhw saying that hw fights were not worth the risk

Well yeah. WTF...you actually wanted him to face Lennox? You guys always try to put Jones down but in wanting him to fight the Lennox's and Vitali's of the world, you prove what a great fighter he was.

Hearns, Oscar and Leonard are all great fighters..

I don't know what you are getting at here, as I didn't even claim Roy was greater than any of them, all i claimed is that Roy Jones has ATG credentials..

I don't know what about that angers you so much..

    He very well may be,

but I didn't claim anything even remotely close to that.. All I listed was Jones' credentials and said he was ATG..

    And foxy flipped out.

baffled to this day why people thing Oscar was great
he was the poster boy outside of the HWs for years and put boxing on centre stage many times, but I absolutely cannot rank him even close to being 'great'

So what if Roy got knocked out?

If you continue to fight way past your best, then it will eventually happen to anyone.

Ray Leonard, Joe Louis, there's loads of examples.

Joe didn't take as many risks, and he got out at the right time. He was sensible.

But if was still fighting now in his 40's at CW, then he would most likely get his jaw shattered.

    Keep hating!

Also, Roy didn't get his jaw shattered on three continents.

A coward who kept ducking European opponents who he KNEW would beat him. I have little respect for him.

Talented boxer, but a complete and utter ducker and a coward.

Calzaghe was dropped in his last 2 fights vs. Nard and Roy..

Had he fought 15 more times, it is likely someone would have got to him.:yep

    Ha!

    How's it going mate?

I reply to every post in order. I wasn't ignoring you. When I came on here earlier, there were 12 pages of posts, but I was still responding to posts from page 9 and 10. I'm not working today, so I've got time on my hands. But I've been continuously 1-2 pages behind all day. I won't ever ignore a question or a poster, even if they're jokers. :good
