There were other beltholders at the time. Jones wasn't locked into fighting the winner of Ruiz and Holyfield. There were other options. He picked the guy with the least ability and who would fit his style. Like he did for most his career.

He might be a top 15 ATG. He's certainly the greatest SMW of all time. And one of the greatest LHW of all time. He's one of the few men to go on to win a HW title from the smaller weights.

Really, from where the rest of us are sitting he looks to be putting the boot into his own mouth with his outright fantasising about the drug cheat Jones.

Then again if you are a nuthugging Jones fanboy too.........................................................:rofl:rofl

The dirty lowlife lying **** claims there is plenty of evidence to suggest Jones wanted to fight Lewis. This translates to he thinks it so it must be true. Anyone can interpret what they like when 2 fighters meet each other and talk, or some gossiping boxing writer says he heard this that or the other. Its all he said, she said bollox.

Hard documented facts are what is required, copies of faxes between the 2 camps. That lying piece of **** Loud Mouth, can't come up with any because none exists, but he will still try to spread his lies, ( about Roid fully intending to fight Lennox ), like a cancer.

That is the sort of human scum that you are praising.

If Holy had a belt, I am sure Roy would have picked him.. But then he would get **** for fighting shot Holyfield.

Like I said, Roy wasn't a natural HW.. It was a HUGE risk no matter who he was fighting, every boxer makes those kinds of decisions.

I don't think many people would have complained about 'old' Holyfield. Point being Loudon keeps saying he fought Ruiz because he 'beat' Holyfield that has nothing to do with anything and is irrelevant. There were other options and Jones picked the easiest one. Just like he did throughout his whole career.

How is it that Jones 'talked' to so many different fighters across all spectrum and Promoters yet not one damn fight was made. There is just too much of a coincidence to blame that on the other fighters.

You can't try and dig yourself out of the hole that you've dug for yourself.

Below is what you said to Joe(I know nothing about boxing).Boxer yesterday.

"Can either of the ******s come up with copies of documents to back up their ridiculous fanboy claims the Jones intended to fight Lennox Lewis before he opted for the **** option in Ruiz?"

    Ha!

We never even made that claim.

So how stupid do you look now?

Sill no answer to post 540 I see.

Now if Roy had no intentions of fighting Lewis, then why did his team meet with Lewis's?

Why did Lewis speak to Roy?

Why did Roy say to Jim Lampley "He said he was gonna take the "S" of my chest, but when I spoke with him, he said he wasn't sure if he was going to fight again."?

Why did Lewis retire and say he'd lost motivation, yet NEVER mentioned Roy messing him around, or pricing himself out etc?

Why have we got 7 different links on this thread with details of both parties being interested?

Why are you such a f***ing idiot?

How can I show you any offer between Roy and Lewis, when Lewis ended up retiring? :patsch

    Northern working vermin?

Tell everybody where YOUR great Iron Lady came from?

I have to lower my intelligence level by around 90% to even converse with you.

All in all, I like Roy. He was one of my favorite fighters coming up as a kid and one of the fighters that got me interested in the sport, so even hearing the knocks on him (some perfectly justifiable, some not), I'm still partial to him.

From here on out, I just hope he sticks to commentary and never steps foot in the ring again.

Have you found our posts yet, where we've said that Roy wanted Lewis before Ruiz?

    Ha!

    Keep looking!

Nobody has said he was locked in.

But the first person he approached for his first HW fight, was Holy late in 2001.

That means that he didn't single out Ruiz as the easiest guy to fight. Otherwise, he'd never have gone to Holy would he? He'd have gone straight to Ruiz.

    The rest of you?

    Who's that?

    You, Joe and Rico?

Show me mine and Mind Reader's claims.

Why would Roy have spoken to Lewis, if he'd have had no intentions of fighting???

Lewis told Roy he wasn't sure if he was fighting again, and he DIDN'T!

How can I show you a copy of an offer you ****ing clown?

    Lewis retired!

    :lol::rofl:patsch

What you just posted is completely irrelevant.

He never fought Holyfield. He had no intention of fighting Holyfield or he would have made the fight between 1997 (when he first started 'talking' about fighting Holyfield) and 2003 when he handpicked Ruiz when there were OTHER fighters availiable to him. Got it?

Rico you're a hater, and due to your hate, won't allow for any circumstances.

Why do you keep saying "Roy picked the easiest option in Ruiz"?

We've got links that prove he spoke to Mike and Lennox AFTER he'd fought Ruiz.

Are you going to dismiss EVERY link that has been posted on this thread?

That's just pure and utter ignorance!

That's more than enough evidence, to show us that just based on ability alone, he was the best guy who ever fought at the weight. :good
