How can it be irrelevant?? You are claiming that Roy chose John Ruiz because he was the weakest guy. But his first choice was Holy. So again, if Holy was his first choice, how could he have picked Ruiz as the easiest? After Ruiz, he spoke to Lewis and Tyson, but in your world, he did both of them things without any intention of making the fights. So Roy lied to Jim Lampley, right? Alton Merkerson was also lying when he said Roy kept his Ruiz physique in the hope of fighting other fights at HW, right? I guess Roy meeting Mike in Miami was all fabricated, right? I guess all of the links provided in this thread are fabricated, right? KEEP HATING!
If his first choice was Holy he would have fought the guy back in 1997 when he first 'talked' about it instead of waiting for the corpse in 2003 and then fighting John Ruiz :rofl When you ask for 100 mil from Lewis and 50 mil from Tyson those are not realistic discussions and everyone but you seems to know that on here. We have well established how many fighters Roy 'talked' about fighting in his career and not one damn fight was ever made. Why is that? atsch
 our respective posts have shown I know far more about boxing than you do, freak. FACT. Your **** posts contain NOTHING about boxing. They're simple ultra-boring, apologist, revisionist, delusional fanboy fantasy waffle. There's no doubt in my mind that you're gay. No straight man would ever show such devoted, blinded delusional man-love to a boxer the way 'Loudon the loser' does. You're clearly one of those obsessive stalker types. You're not a fan of boxing; you're just in love with Roid Jones. What a sad lonely freak you must be.
His first choice in 2001 was Holy. You can't spin it to suit your agenda. If Roy was literally demanding $100M to fight Lewis, then why would Lewis's team have even spoke to Murad, and why would Lennox have spoke directly to Roy? Once again, show me a link where Lewis has said he wanted the fight, but Roy messed him around and priced himself out etc. Lewis said in 2008 that he'd want $100M to fight again. It's always Roy's faults that the fights were never made. It was Eubank who said it would have been suicide to fight a prime Roy. It was Joe who knew what his capabilities were, and wanted the "Crown Jewells" to fight Roy. It was Hopkins who demanded 50/50, even though Roy had already beaten him. It was DM who said he was willing to fight in the U.S. only to instead stay in Germany to fight subpar opposition.
Ha! Hilarious! My posts contain nothing? You mean like the three paragraphs above from yourself? If there's anyone likely to be gay around here, then it's you. Just about every reply to Mind Reader the other day had nothing but gay slurs in it. When I've got the time, I'll repost your comments up regarding DM. Inventing faxes, doubting what you'd said, and stuttering around all over the place writing nothing but insults, trying to convince yourself you'd schooled people. You don't possess the required intelligence to school someone such as myself. Intellectually, we're simply worlds apart. If you've got some time on your hands, go and help Foxy, he needs help to find some claims me and Mind Reader made.
I don't believe for one minute had Holy beat Ruiz and Roy went after Holy that you wouldn't be on here saying the same thing that Roy picked the oldest most vulnerable belt holder and didn't beat "the" champ Lennox Lewis. All these negative revisionist opinions on Jones beating Ruiz don't hold much weight for me.. There was not one boxing expert that didn't consider Ruiz a very big puncher compared to Roy and a very dangerous fight that could end for Roy at any given time, and this was BEFORE Roy was ever knocked out. It was only after Roy made it look so easy, you started hearing the featherfist, made for Roy Jones bull****.
You're fooling no one, freak. I've proven that I'm FAR superior to you intellectually, with FAR more boxing knowledge. You and your boyfriend have been RUINED in this thread. FACT. The only one stuttering around all over the place, back-peddling, inventing and fabricating garbage is YOU. FREAK. I easily toy with clowns like you. Get it through your thick skull, pu55y; Our respective posts have shown I know far more about boxing than you do. Your **** posts contain NOTHING about boxing. They're simple ultra-boring, apologist, revisionist, delusional fanboy fantasy waffle. There's no doubt in my mind that you're gay. This thread should have been over when Big Roy said his son wasn't going to fight someone because he "punched too hard" Shows the mentality both of them had. Jones was a cherrypicker, PED cheat, and a Glass Jawed Fraud. When you are a boxer and your trainer says you are not going to fight someone because they "punch too hard" it pretty much tells us all we need to know and when you look at how Jones maneuvered through Divisions it spells it all out for you. It explains why he fought Ruiz it explains why none of the other fights ever got made with Benn, DM, Eubank, Tyson, Lewis, Holyfield, or anyone else for that matter. Roy's own dad knew and admitted his sons Chin was complete and total Glass and they were not going to risk that. They were going to fight their worthless mandatory on HBO PPV selling between 50k and 90k buys while Roy is 'talking' about fighting legit boxing cash cows and demanding most of the money. Jones 'talked' about making big fights more than any fighter in modern history and they never happened but his delusional fans love to tell us what Woulda, Shoulda, Coulda, happened.......:rofl Completely ignoring their hero getting savagely KOed over and over.
Oh, you are right I would come on here and tell you Jones didn't do what Fitzsimmons and Spinks did because beating Holyfield would not have been beating THE Heavyweight Champion. That is just a Fact. Look at Ruiz KO rate before the Jones fight. I GUARANTEE you Big Roy and Roy looked at it. It is one of the reasons he was picked over the others. That and his abysmal skill. If Jones was going to fight Holyfield he should have fought him in 1997-1998 when he first started talking about it. But we all know he had ZERO intention of doing such. He was too busy getting put on his ass by Lou Del Valle and fighting Otis Grant
Another 5 paragraphs of you speaking without saying ANYTHING! Log off of this site, and go and try your hand at politics. :good
Yes, he clearly had HUGE reservations over his chin. He started out at 154, won a belt at 160, and then ended up fighting at CW and HW in his 30's and 40's. I'm still awaiting a list of all of the other 168-175 fighters that fought at CW and HW. Can't wait to see it. :good
Spinks doesn't belong in this conversation.. He was a very big LHW that moved up, he was not a former JMW.. And THE Heavyweight champ Fitz beat was not a 6'5 245 lb H2H monster.. 6'1 184 lb Corbett would be a much more manageable feat... That is just a fact. I don't care what his KO rate was, my point still stands that all the experts considered Ruiz a big puncher for Roy and could end the fight at any time. Also, if Roy's jaw was as glass as you are always going on about, wouldn't a HW with ANY KOs be a big risk to a former JMW? Your logic isn't adding up. Was there not a link posted in this thread that Roy and Holyfield had dinner, and Holy decided he wasn't interested?:huh
