We don't give a F**K about his record you moron! We know who's on his record, without you having to copy and paste it. His record DOESN'T DISPROVE the links on here.
Um, Byrd wasn't a good style match up for Roy hence why he fought Ruiz. Byrd had speed, skills, and defense. Ruiz had no speed, no skills, and literally no defense. And Ruiz was in the middle of the ring because Nady threatened to take away a point in the 2nd round :roflatsch for holding/clinching. Look at the very first clinch of the fight Roy looks directly at Nady for help. Kinda weird....:think
More revisionism.. Jones-Ruiz was a huge fight at the time, and many were picking Ruiz to knock Roy out due to just being too big for him. Once Roy made it look easy, is when people as you are doing tried to make it sound as if Ruiz never had a chance. Nady didn't let Ruiz cheat, but he didn't stop him from trying to impose his will and size on Roy, Roy did that with his speed and power.
:roflatsch Nady absolutely did not let Ruiz get anywhere near Roy. Watch the fight. Every time he went for the Jab and Grab Nady literally ran in first and broke it up. That was Ruiz ONLY skill set and Nady took it away from him and made him a sitting duck for a fight that ended up being a sparring session. Jones has ZILCH to do with Ruiz not using the Jab and Grab it was all Nady who made the fight even easier for Jones than it already was.
I saw Ruiz come at Roy several times, but Roy was able to back away, tag him and circle out and not get caught on the ropes.. Ruiz was taking punishment that was hurting him.. That made him hesitate.. When Norman Stone was beating on Ruiz in the corner as to why he wasn't going after Roy, why didn't Ruiz say it was because Nady wouldn't let him?
More talk of Roy's glass jaw. Yet according to you, a glass jawed former 154 fighter, wasn't tasking a risk fighting at CW and HW in his 30's and 40's?
You sound PATHETIC! Roy didn't beat Ruiz, it was Jay Nady. Ha! Man, you really do hate Roy! Norman Stone was screaming "Why are you f***ing waiting on this guy Johnny?" You're hilarious!
Ruiz was never going to beat Roy. And I have never said otherwise. Nady took away Ruiz only weapon. That is the only point I have made. I never said Ruiz was going to win :rofl
You won't give Roy credit for ANYTHING! Roy's hand speed and footwork took away Ruiz's weapons. He was kept at bay in the center of the ring for the majority of the fight.
Holding is cheating, and any decent ref will try and stop it. How many times did he have the opportunity to grab Roy? You must have heard Norman Stone screaming at him in the corner, and shoving him, in between rounds? He was reluctant to get close to Roy. Roy got his attention and earnt his respect early on in the fight.
Ruiz actually had success at times when he was able to get Roy on the ropes.. The only problem was he wasn't able to get him there enough, and that much of the fight was in the center of the ring due to Ruiz hesitating, because most of the time he went after Roy, Roy would just back away hitting him with shots that were hurting him..
