First of all I'm a huge fan. But he turned down 10 mill to fight Hoya for a 3rd time. Then fought a unification against Winky and lost for like 3 mill. Then Floyd wanted a fight, but he turned that down to fight Cintron/Collazo, but Hoya jumped right on it. I feel like a fighter that brings every night should have more fans and made way more money than he has. I also feel like he was the one person that waable to beat Floyd at the time

It was also bad luck and just the situations that happened too.

Mosley's ego and pride wouldn't allow him to take the "short end" of the money for a 3rd DLH match, but he also Spinks upset Mayorga. The talk was of a Mosley-Mayorga match if Mayorga beat Spinks, which was expected, but that didn't happen.

Mosley had the misfortune of being under DLH when the talk of a Mayweather-Mosley match came up after Mosley beat Vargas the 2nd time in July 2006.

I'm sure if De La Hoya wasn't Mosley's boss, and didn't happen to want to fight Mayweather, then suddenly Mosley's vacation and dental work would've gone away or been postponed.

I wish he would have fought Stevie Johnston before moving up to welterweight and I do wish he had taken the third fight with Hoya. None of that takes away from my admiration for his fighting skills. Or the fact that he's got a hot wife.

I would have liked to of seen him fight Kostya Tszyu.

I think it would have been an excellent fight.

The only career move in which I'm really dissapointed was his decsion to start juicing. I think that may really hurt his legacy.

I dont think its any coincidence that Oscar Delahoya has not fought any fighter that has beaten Shane Mosely!

.....and for the thread starter that sites that Mosely turned down 10 million for a third fight with Mosely....next year it will be 12 mil, and the year after that 15.....

I wish he would have stayed at 135 longer and kept killing everybody, including Stevie Johnston and Floyd.

"As for the $12 million he turned down in refusing a third fight with Oscar, Sugar Shane was decidedly philosophical in his defense of the choice to fight Wright: "It's a historical fight, who's the best fighter, that's why I took this one."

If he picked his opponents using the same strategy as Mayweather, he'd still be undefeated

He also said that if Arum would pay him the 8 mil they were offering Floyd, he would fight Margarito in a heartbeat. No offer was made.

some of shanes moves were'nt the best business wise. but legacy wise, my respect (and i'm sure most boxing fans as well) for the man in utmost. in the last 7 years he's gone through hoya 2x, forrest2x, winky2x, cotto. those names tells you a lot about mosely, win/lose he's fought the best in or around the weight classes he's fought in.

    :huh

Mosley is quoted saying he would fight him, stop bigging up your fighter, Mosley would beat Margarito, even now.
