How do you feel when your favourite fighter losses?

Not so bad, I feel relatively better when my least-favorite fighters lose.

I was gutted when Abner Mares lost for the first time
I'd be gutted if TBE Wanheng ever lost but I can't see that ever happening

but the feeling I had when Maidana beat the arrogance out of Broner was the best

 

Tyson v Holyfield got me down, Mike was back! no he wasnt....

how is it different from any other sport? i don't know any of the West Ham players or anyone to do with the club, but it still hurts when they lose...although you'd have thought i'd be used to it by now

 

If he's brutally outclassed then I feel awful. However, there are a couple of exceptions

 

I'm rarely upset...I normally just enjoy the experience and say "damn" and may lose ten bucks to a friend.

I get frustrated if some of my favourite fighters show lack of heart and lose...then I say a bit more than "damn" under my breath of course

 

No different to any other sport, you're right. But I also think it's weird when people get upset about football. Why let something like that negatively effect your state of mind, seems bizarre to me.

 

it is quite strange, fundamentally, when you think about it. but if you add the connotations to it, like for me, i was brought up to be a west ham fan, whole family was west ham and live in canning town and west ham is a sort of way of life there, and i've had a season ticket for over 10 years it becomes a bit deeper than just a football team. but yeah now i'm thinking about it, it is a bit strange

 

I was utterly gutted when both Tito and Tszyu lost for their first time. Wasn't too bad when canelo lost because he or fmj has to lose so I was prepared for an L. That was far and away fmj greatest performance and the only fighter I thought was beating him almost for certain, that was until about round 4,5 fmj was amazing that night

My current favorites haven't tasted defeat, nor had fmj but if he decides to fight a few more times there's too many dangerous ww's best stay put

Sad, maybe pissed off depending on how they lost. Or sometimes happy because the person who beat them is a fantastic fighter and you now have another boxer to follow as well as your favorite fighter.

 

Every time Chad Dawson loses, it tears my insides out
and I go hit the heavy bag as a southpaw. It's really
time for him to retire. Other than him, Roy and Toney
it kills me seeing what their careers became by staying on
so much longer and seeing them stumblebum against
guys that couldn't hold their jock straps in their prime.

Fortunately, Keith looks like he's gonna be on an amazing
run. I can take solace in that. LOL
