Yeah I get how for a lot of people it does become an emotional attachment, I guess you get the highs as well which is good. To be honest, you're in the vast majority when it comes to the way you feel about football, so in reality I'm the odd one haha.

and thats where my original argument came from r.e how i feel about football, i used to play football at a high level and was obsessed with it (to the point where i still don't know how to ride a bike coz i was constantly playing football loool), and a lot went on and i ended up giving it up, so now it absolutely KILLS me to watch football, but i can't stop going to west ham and constantly checking the score when im away, so i'd probably be just as gutted as i was the last time Lomachenko lost...but thats just one mans opinion

I was annoyed with the Kov result. When Manny Pacquiao got out to sleep by Marquez I just thought "wow" either he's done or will bounce back. He sure did bounce back to make that crazy money with TMT

The bottom line is the vast majority of fighters lose at some point which is ok. Just put Kovalev in with Ward, Stevenson, Beterbiev, Gvozdyk, Smith Jr, exactly in that order. You will get a great series of fights. Very possible he loses one of those possibly 2.

Annoyed/sad, just like anyone else. But it doesn't last for long, plenty of other things to do and care about.

I'll take it you only mean #1 favorite fighter, and not one of my favorite fighters.

Only times I was really upset and even in denial was with Iron Mike back in 1990, and when JCC (the real one) lost to Randall.
Since then I sometimes have been a little saddened when Lennox got KO'd, Cotto got stopped (now I definitely would lol if that happens).

The only fighter that really annoyed me after losing was vargas when he lost to de la hoya. I really hoped vargas to win that fight, and i've never been able to stand de la hoya, I hated him back then.

Appart from that, I'm ok with my favourite fighter losing if he deserves to lose. No problem at all.

Don't really have A particular favorite but fighters I do enjoy. If they lose, and I wanted them to win, I normally just feel a little disappointed.

As someone who's a firm believer in sportsmanship and taking your loss like a man, I accept a loss and move on. Can't win all the time.

The only times I was really upset is when Ali lost to Frazier in the first fight and Hearns lost to Leonard. Ali hurt because I loved what he stood for and Hearns hurt because he was a hometown boy and Leonard was a *****. Other than those two, I just enjoy the fights for what they are.

About the same as when my favourite fighter bottles it and doesn't turn up for the fight at the last minute.
