I came up with this system today. It analyzes Pacs 15 past fights. Let me know what you think, and share your own system please! Im going to try to quantify these wins. My scale assigns each fighter 10 points. This scale is based purely on their performance in the ring and their ranking within their respective division at the time I have divided the opponents into two classes Elite level=Top 5 within Division Ranked=Top 10 within Division 10=Opponent is in their Prime, Elite level fighter 9=Slightly Past Prime, still elite 8=Past prime but still elite level/Ranked fighter in Prime 7=Former Elite now ranked/Ranked fighter slightly below prime 6=Elite fighter now shot/Ranked fighter below prime 5=Elite fighter completely shot, shell of of former self/Ranked fighter bottom tier of Top 10 within weight class Losses are award points also. The formula for a loss is as follow (Level of Opponent-3 points)=Total points For a draw (level of opponent-1 points)=total points There are 15 opponents here, I am assigning each a possible 10 points=150 total Additionally, a bonus of 3 points shall be given for each fighter that is beaten that was ranked P4P at the time of being beaten Win Miguel Cotto-Elite level win=10+3 Win Ricky Hatton-Elite level win =10 Win Oscar De La Hoya-Shot=5 Win David Díaz TKO-Elite =8 Win Juan Manuel Márquez =10+3 Win Marco Antonio Barrera =8+3 Win Jorge Solís =7 Win Érik Morales =7 Win Óscar Larios =7 Win Érik Morales =9+3 Win Héctor Velázquez =7 Loss Érik Morales =7 Win Fahsan Por Thawatchai =8 Draw Juan Manuel Márquez =9 Win Marco Antonio Barrera =10+3 Total points=122+15 137/150=91% So his resume for those past 15 fights is an A-, not too shabby :good
Truthfully, I think you are being way too kind to Pacquiao in your made up system.. But while I think you are being too kind. I still think Pac has an easy argument for the greatest fighter of all time.
I don't mean to be rude, but your system wont work..... many flaws Please define: A) Elite B) Prime C) Shot
