How do you not figure out Marques in 4 fights, but they can figure out Money in one?

Easy...THEY CAN'T! Money is much harder to figure out, smarter, faster, and can adapt to anything you throw at him better than Marques.

Well, Manny hasn't figured out how to dip a right hand in his entire career. He still blocks them with his face.

Said it before, and I'll say it again: At no point in time have I ever felt this match up was competitive.

Come on man! Seriously, I'm no Manny fanboy, but he was beating Marquez from pillar to post before his dumbass dipped into that right hand. Had he waited a little the tko would have come in one or two rounds.

Floyds legs are as good as gone, if he cant move for 12 rounds, he simply cant outpoint Manny.

This is a mismatch Pac beats Floyd up easy!

The defensive stance of both fighters is very different. Floyd employs more ducking and a much lower lead hand, and also pulls straight back at times to counter. He may find himself on the end of a straight left if he doesn't work off the angle (he will often go straight back or duck and then pivot out away from the ropes). Marquez is very good at pivoting with power and returning hard concussive shots while standing in front in range. Completely different fighters, though both are laser sharp counterpunchers. When Floyd is at his best he actually beats the other fighter to the punch and keeps him from ever firing his shots. Marquez absorbs or blocks and then lands with frightening power when the other guy is overextended or exposed. Thus one reason Marquez has more KOs, besides power: he waits until the other guy is exposed, Floyd sometimes takes his chances and shuts down offense with sharp quick shots (Canelo, Corrales, Baldomir, late in the Hatton fight). He could never quite shut down Madaina's, though.

that was a close fight for those 6 rounds, I don't understand how some rewrite history trying to claim pac was destroying jmm.

round 5 pac was putting it on him BUT that is the ONLY lopsided round

    sigh...

again JMM is a completely different fighter than Mayweather. stop comparing him to Mayweather.

if we want to play this game, i can do the following:

Pacquiao annihialted DLH whilst Mayweather almost lost to him. Based on this, Pacquiao >>>>> Mayweather

Pacquiao destroyed Hatton in 2 rounds whilst Floyd couldn't figure him out until 8th round and TKO'd him in 10th. Based on this, Pacquiao >>>>>>>> Mayweather

Pacquiao destroyed Cotto, tKO in 12th whilst Cotto gave Floyd a tough fight. Based on this, Pacquiao >>>>>>>>>>> Mayweather

then, let's not forget Bradley beat JMM handily yet Pac really beat Bradley twice.. Based on this, Pac >>> JMM.. oh wait, JMM ko'd him. SEE? These formulas don't work.

JMM fights mean nothing, if they do.. then let's bring DLH, Cotto and Hatton into the equation and wonder why Pac killed them when Floyd had a much harder time? now what? of course, some will point to dehydrated DLH and Cotto but what about when JMM went up two weight classes to fight Floyd? JMM was at 135 before he fought Floyd two weight classes above.. He just wasn't ready. So excuses are easy to come by friends.

i know Pac's struggles with JMM provides some comfort level to Floyd fans which helps them sleep well at night but as i clearly lay out above, means nothing. If anything, the JMM loss made Pacquiao a smarter and better fighter who will not make same mistake against Floyd. He's more dangerous now.

If anything, it was JMM that had to figure Pac out, not the other way around. Pac didnt do any figuring out, he just did his thing, completely wild and unorthodox and JMM had to adapt after suffering 3 first round KD's.

Sure Floyd could also figure out Pac but just because JMM did doesn't mean he will. JMM went into the jaws of the lion, could Floyd? We will see.

If anything, the way Bradley fought JMM, Bradley is more alike Floyd than JMM is.
