Beat me to it... Ali MUST rank higher than Gene Tuney, absolutely must, no matter which criteria you value the most when judging the ATGness of fighters.

Ps. Im suprised by your age, we dont always agree but I will admit you are really knowledable for 18.

Just goes to show with so many clued up young fans that boxing will never die no matter how big MMA becomes (Im also a big MMA fan & view them as separate sports rather than rival sports.)

    :thumbsup

I was 14-17 during his prime. I'm old enough to remember his prime.

I ranking him about 11-12 based on career accomplishments. H2h I'd rank him 5-6 although admittedly, like everyone else when he was at peak he appeared indestructable.

I'm one of the old guys checking in at 45.

i say 95% of the time tyson beats 95% of heavyweights...his savage offense, handspeed, footspeed, elusive bob and weave peek a boo style made him hard to catch yet immediately able to go on hellacious offensive...a great finisher and, in his VERY brief peak, almost..i say almost..unstoppable......

oh and im 39 and have only recently started to feel this way after having studied tysons fights...the man was, again, briefly, a ****in wrecking ball....vs spinks..vs biggs..vs holmes...(a holmes who was rusty but not shot as his later career showed..)..he was a phenom...

31 years old, with Tyson just outside my Top Ten.

Although really, is being a Top 15 or 20 heavyweight ever really such a horrible insult?

    Forty-Three.

I'd put him somewhere around #8 to #15 alltime heavy.

i put him in the top 5 ATG, one reason is Larry Holmes,

Larry fought until he was over 50 and never got knocked out since prime tyson.

    i'm 20
