I'm 20 and I have him anywhere from 6-10 depending on how I feel that day. I'm still relatively new to the DEEP history of boxing so naturally it changes depending on how much I see of a fighter.
i was never old enough to see tyson live i am 15 now but after extencily watching his fights i put top five all time heavyweights and top 10 all time p4p
Mid 30's for me. I rate Tyson around #10-13 on an all time heavyweight ranking list. There are no cream puffs on ATG lists. Tyson might be the #1 guy vs tier two opponents. Tyson could blow out journeyman, and fringe contenders as well as anyone I have seen. My trouble with Tyson is he was never a mentally tough fighter and lost his biggest legacy fights badly. Some say the prison time took away from Tyson. While there is some truth to this, I have also seen Tyson look good post prision, and struggle a bit pre Buster Douglas.
I'm 27 and I rank Tyson somewhere between 8 and 12. He's the best ever against average contenders. He absolutely destroyed them.
that will deffently Change man when you lean more about his opponents in the 80's and so fourth I thank when i was 15 I ranked Jim Corbett in my top 5 HW LOL
5-10 of all time in his very short prime,if cus d. could have lived 2-3 more years he would have had a longer prime prob. would be in alot more peoples top 10s----and im 30
1. Jack Dempsey 2. Muhammad Ali 3. Larry Holmes 4. Gearge Foreman 6. .Joe Louis 7. Lennox Lewis 8.MIKE TYSON 9. Wladimir Klitchko 10.Gene Tunney. So i would rank him 8.
I'm 19 and I do not rank him in the top 10. I don't understand how people can rank him above Holyfield? WTF?
I agree I dont thank he ever beat anyone on the same level Holyfield did and lost when he did face that comp most the guys he fought in the 80's seemed to be B+ at best other then Spinks who was just a Blown up light Heavy and Holmes who hadnt fought in 4 years
