How do you rate a shot one eyed morales performance against maidana?

morales v garcia = 6/10, 9/10 considering how done he was.

as far as i know garcia is natural around 160 lb, 140 lb lineal might be the heights of his career but I like the guy and he earned that champ belt by KO.

 

I think Garcia's optimal fighting weight would be 147. You don't fight at the weight you walk around at.

I don't put much stock in it. Everyone knows that if Maidana was allowed to wear his regular gloves, instead of those pillows Morales made him wear, that Morales would have been stopped.

 

I'm biased towards Morales and gave him the fight the first time around. Then, I rewatched and can agree with a Maidana win.

I thought this was Morales's last good "old man" performance.

 

Maidana is nothing.

 

Many of you conveniently forget, in your fondness for Morales, that he made Maidana wear those pillow like gloves. Morales would have KO'd or TKO'd that night had Maidana been allowed to wear his normal gloves.

 

Morales fought Maidana 5(?) years later? SO yes, 5 years is a long time, most definitely shot then, but not 5 years ago. Morales was overweight for Maidana, he shouldnt ever be fighting at WW, the only reason he does is cos he's old and can't handle losing that bodyfat anymore.

Pac beat a Morales who just a fight before, was good enough to beat a Pac who destroyed MAB and drew with JMM..yep he sure was shot.

One of the best fights that year. Youth versus experience. I thought that Morales took Maidana to school and should have gotten the decision.

 

Shot one eyed morales gave Maidana more of a beating than Mayweather.
