i remember ordering this fight at my ex gf's and watching it live.. i was prob emotionally invested in morales but after the loss (and i did have him winning) i got up did not say a word walked out the door and drove home, i was livid but proud morales put on such a great performance

boxing clown, I remember watching this fight years ago, I forget when it took place but I remember morales putting in one last great performance. most of the true greats put in their one last great performance. I remember chino being in terrible shape, didn't look terrible but I know he hardly trained and expected a quick easy night but it turned out to be a tough night.

I am confused by the bold part of you stupid post, all your posts are stupid, to say the least. I thought to myself, lets give boxing re**** the benefit of the doubt. I never saw chino hurt in that fight, yes, I remember him being backed up here and there but don't remember him being hurt at all, hurt , not pushed back, there is a difference.. not sure if you even know the difference.

what your dumbass did was make me watch the whole fight again. same as the fight time I saw it, great great fight and great performance from a mid 30's el terribleeee..

what never happened was chino getting hurt. had I just watched the fight a 2nd time and missed it ? what round was he hurt ? I was anticipating a huge left hurting chino, you have been claiming this nonsense for years.

are you going to admit you just make sh!t up or are you going to prove youself correct by giving me the round this huge left hurt chino ?

    waiting on you like clockwork

    Never seen this whole fight

It's a great last stand by a great fighter

Morales even gave a good go the first time with Garcia

yes he did. I would recommend watching the morales chino fight in full, and when you do maybe you can help me out with the round chino was "badly hurt by a left hook" boxing clown has been claiming this for years. I guess he does just flat out make sh!t up

I haven't seen the fight since a day or so after it happened (I was at the Pru Center watching an Adamek fight that night), but I definitely recall there being a moment when Maidana was visibly hurt (although I thought it was by a well timed right hand). He wasn't stumbling around or anything, but his leg mechanics showed tell-tale signs of being genuinely hurt by the shot. To his credit, he recuperated quickly and regained his composure before El Terrible could follow up on it.

that is a little different than being badly hurt and holding on for dear life.

almost every pro fight there is a moment 1 or both are stunned.

Everyone expected him to get killed, but he ended up doing a lot better than expected which causes bias in scoring, but he did win 2 or 3 rounds in a row towards the middle of the fight but he got overworked in 8 rounds, its a clear loss for Morales.

yes clear loss but he did very very well. he was putting punches together better than he had in a long long time, we have to remember, this was a let down fight for chino, he thought he was getting a fight against one of the champs, he had lose some weight on weigh in day and I think he was over on his first try, not real sure but I think that was the case.

I know from his training camp notes, he wasn't too thrilled and thought like most, it was going to be an easy nights work. when fighters train thinking they have the fight won they run into problems. pretty sure chino learned his lesson.

he was more wild in this fight than most of his. he was ugly ugly ugly.

He definitely wasn't holding on for dear life; but as I remember it he was more than stunned, for what that's worth. Although, when I kind of think of "stunned" as a level below being "hurt" if there was a video game like damage meter.

in my book stunned is below hurt and badly hurt usually means close to being tko's or at least put on his ass.

with boxing clown, no one knows what he means by badly hurt and holding on for dear life. he uses those to things often so they must have different meaning to him than they do to me.

for what its worth, I gave morales an A for that fight.
morales was supposed to get pummeled real quick in this match,
he was 34 or something like that against a supposed to be prime chino, obviously chino wasn't prime because he wasn't close to his peak, he was under trained and he didn't have any trainers that had a clue how to train a very raw chino
chino gets a D+, d+ for winning the fight but he made it very hard to give him anything better than a D.

All true, at times Morales schooled Maidana, it was probably only Maidana's youth and Morales oldness (he really slowed down in the last 3 rounds) which won Maidana the fight at the end.

Maidana had a similar fight 2 fight before it, against Corley, under trained, thought it was going to be over early. Maidana before he started to work with Garcia didn't have a great camp, he got as far as he did back then mostly of raw power and toughness.

Maidana is a different beast now he's filling the body well and a treat to any welter I think Garcia has done a great job with him on top making lots of money.
