How do you rate Abraham's performance in the Dirrell fight?

Average. He fought like he always does but it wasn't enough to beat Dirrell. He got taken to school.

Abraham's skills are greater than Dirrell's, his performance in the fight though was clearly off. A rematch could be a very different story.

What skills are you refering to?

Abraham relies on his tight high-guard defense, solid chin and KO-power in his fights.

Dirrell has greater speed, counter-punching ability, footwork and balance.

Dirrell is a far greater natural athlete but Abraham has a deceptively high ring IQ. It wasn't enough to overcome the natural speed and overall athleticism of Dirrell but it does exist and people are overlooking it as usual with Abraham. I'm not saying he's the greatest fighter in the world but people have been sleeping on him for years and they feel they've been justified in that because of one decisive loss. As is the usual case, on comes the "exposed" train. It's silliness.

    Umm he got outclassed ....????

He showed that he was a flat footed, slow, robotic fighter .... he never took a step up ... he won a vacant belt from a contender and other than Taylor he hadn't beat a former champion his whole reign.

Marquez was a former champion and Olympian. Hector Velazco was also a former champion. Never the greatest of pickings but he held his title and that was his job.

I hope you don't included me in that train.

I never said Abraham is not a good fighter. He's a pretty damn good fighter.

Yes, of course he has high ring IQ. That said, it's basically his chin, tight guard and power that have made him what he is.

I think you may be underrating his overlooked smurf voodoo as well...

It takes a special fighter to overcome King Arthur's smurf voodoo.

This is not a new development. It is only now that people are beginning to see it, but it has always been true.

Do you realize that up to this very day Arthur Abraham has yet to face a reigning world titlist? I spent countless hours studying this guy back when everyone wanted to see KP/AA. I have posted the facts many times along with a complete and detailed breakdown of his resume'. I caught nothing but **** for trying to call attention to the facts. I am very satisfied by the fact that people finally seem to be waking up where Abraham is concerned. I mean, Jesus H. Christ, this is a guy that blatantly ducked Fulgencio Zuniga so he could make a voluntary defense against the great Elvin Ayala:patsch

As has been said; typical Abraham. Which is disappointing to me in summation. It's a shame he wasn't composed enough to keep himself from getting disqualified. Abraham is generally more thoughtful, but you could see Dirrell was frustrating him. The first time you saw Abraham lift up his arms and kind of wag his head - which was early pretty early in the fight; that's when he lost. Right there.

:deadHe got beat down and really did his people a real disservice ( I doubt he was raised to be whining cheating loser who berates an opponent he nearly decapitated). Really showed a lack of sportsmanship regarding the low blows (stop leaning forward with and deflecting the perfectly good body shots downward with his forearms and the shot won't have a chance of reaching below the belt line).:bbb
