Browne has a chin that will cause him problems at the top level. His heart and decent stanima will help as it did in tonights fight. Another problem with Browne's ability to take a shot that hasn't been mentioned here is that he doesn't have the best defense or reactions (although, due to a change in style tonight he seemed less hittable) so punches may land more cleanly than they would on a more defensively sound fighter.
Being wobbled by a shot that grazes the top of the head is concerning. Any of the guys like Wilder, Klitscho, Joshua, Martin, hell even old ass Briggs, if those guys land flush. Browne is toast.
About a 6 in my book. Very impressive recovery, but a stronger chin wouldn't have gone down in the first place.
id argue its a 6-7. honestly the shot that wobbled browne vs ruslan early in the fight was not much at all. gutsy fighter ill give him that but his chin seems very suspect, like marquez he seems to recover very well though
Honestly, why do people believe his chin is granite?! He was wobbled by old man Toney as well from memory... The guy has a big heart, but he will be sparked out by a heavy handed fighter. There is a reason why they turned down fights against the likes of Parker on the way up. They even turned down a fight with an old, past it Tua...
It should be noted he was KO1ed in MMA by Daniel Cormier - a 5'11" wrestler now campaigning at light heavyweight (and who in the amateurs wrestled in the 184lb class) and whose MMA record is 17-1 (6)... Found this post on Sherdog: "By all accounts DC smashed him in pretty devastating fashion, towards the end of the first round. But, out of all DC's fights, this seems to be the only one without any footage or gifs available for viewing."
Big Daddy can take punhes of a faded guy like Chagaev and still go floored. I rate his chin a solid 5 out of 10. Average at this point. I think if AJ landed on him it would be good night.
