I have only seen three fights of his since he turned pro. Lartey and a couple of randoms. Only watched Algieri-Spence highlights. Solid fighter, good fundamentals, physically strong, big for the weight, powerful. Reminds me a bit of Buatsi sometimes actually. But I looked into my 'notes' from years ago watching his amateur stuff and early pro career. Not so good on the back foot can get caught on counters from even slight angles as he occasionally barges forward a little mindlessly in a linear attack with more rigid footwork Not enough head movement. Fast jabs could probably unsettle him. A relatively frequent tendency to be in two minds when going for attack, making for a hesitant and ineffective attack at times Defence is fairly penetrable, although it’s not easy getting in your bigger power shots against him. Over reliant on high guard and susceptible particularly to uppercuts.
There's no real rebuttal to your post. Except, you point out his flaws in such fashion that if we broke down Pacqiouas or Mayweathers, Haglers or Hearns......we'd make them also appear quite beatable.
As of yet untested Algeria crossover opponent with no power Bundu veteran took him deep like he did with Frankie I know Spence stopped him Passes the eye test but the jury is still out on him kell should drag him over here and get to him before he improves any more IMO Brook needs to forget khan
Brook needs to forget 147. It's been since last Sept that Brooks been in a fight. Time to move on from GGG and move forward with Kell Brook.
Hard to know until he faces a top guy, but he beat two guys that are usually durable fighters, so that's great. He is quite strong and really good when it comes to fundamentals, he knows how to setup hard punches and body punches. But there are questions about his defense. He's my favorite 147 btw, if i don't count Felix Diaz.
People kill me with this big for the weight stuff. They did it with Walters at 126, now they are doing it with Spence. Hearns, Leonard, Margarito, Williams, Cintron, etc. were big for the weight. Spence is 5'9, and smaller than all of those guys. So what he has broad shoulders. He isn't exceptionally muscled or anything. In boxing people latch on to things that don't really make sense. As far as Spence goes, he looks like the goods, but he is also hittable. I like his killer instinct and power shown so far, as well as his punching technique and boxing ability. He got rid of Algieri in a fashion that those of us who are annoyed by Algieri had been waiting for, for a long time. He destroyed Bundu, but Bundu was a 5'6, 41 year old, Euro level gnome. We know the power is real. Just want to see him fight someone of quality.
Still yet to be tested. I don't see the hype personally, as it's easy to look good and sharp against bums.
He shouild be trying to unify at 147 before movingup it will bring him more income than say just moving up and is better legacy wise that's why he should have tried harder for the Vargas fight but his head was turned by the dollar and out doing getting on e up on khan he needs to forget khandashian as its gone on to long
Porter's a bum. You do know he just beat Broner in better fashion than Madaina did and was just robbed against Thurman so that Uncle Al can have an undefeated unified titlist. Also, Bizier broke down and dominated Lawson, who was the second coming of Jantuah to almost everyone on here. Bizier only been beaten by Dan, who's only been beaten by bangers. Bizier just couldnt catch the slick Dan. Brook and Hurd caught him, and murdered him. Brooks got a solid resume. He would have been the first to stop Vargas if not for Brexit and the immediate drop of the GBP note. If the GBP wouldve held or come back, we'd have had that unification fight, and Brook would be a reigning top 5 p4p himself.
How this man has not been busted for roid use just goes to show how corrupt the testing authorities are. Clearly not doing their jobs properly.
